MICHAEL T. UMSCHEID - CPA | President and CEO, ARCSys

Mike has been providing accounting, consulting and auditing services to financial institutions for over 30 years. Considered the “CECL Guru”, Mike was selected by the AICPA to create and deliver their 8-hour CPE course on CECL. He is a past member of the Auditing Standards Board and a published author on Accounting and Auditing for Financial Institutions. Mike has spoken at numerous AICPA conferences as well as other national and local financial institution associations. Mr. Umscheid is also the author of the 8-hour CPE course published by the AICPA for CECL. Mike is currently the President and CEO of ARCSys, a consulting firm that specializes in Allowance for Credit Loss software and CECL. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.

JILLIAN MORROW – Managing Director, CFGI Jillian is a Managing Director in CFGI’s New York office and brings over 8 years of experience serving mid-size and global financial services companies providing technical accounting assistance, operationalization of accounting standards, and financial close support for US GAAP and IFRS. She has extensive experience supporting clients as a trusted advisor in solving problems related to complex technical accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, financial planning and analysis issues, and merger and acquisition transactions. As part of her advisory role, Jillian regularly assists clients in one-off technical accounting transactions. She is currently serving multiple DFAST and mid-size banks adopting CECL in performing gap assessments, developing implementation strategy, understanding data requirements, and documenting accounting policy.

ALEXANDRIA PAYNE – Director of Statistical Analytics, ARCSys Alexandria Payne is the Director of Statistical Analytics at ARCSys where she oversees the design, development, and testing of analytic and predictive machine learning models. Prior to her work with ARCSys, Alexandria was the Data Analyst and Visualization Specialist for the Knowledge and Information Services division of the National Center for State Courts where she liaised with product and research teams in order to communicate judicial assessment through interactive and comparative data analysis. She has also served as Digital Services Manager for the City of Newport News, Virginia, where she oversaw technology implementation and systems management. Alexandria is ITIL v3 certified and holds a M.S. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as an M.B.A. from the College of William & Mary.

FRED EISEL – Chief Investment Officer, Vizo Financial Fred Eisel is Vizo Financial’s Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he is responsible for actively managing Vizo Financial’s investment portfolios as well as overseeing the Corporate’s asset/liability management and investment services. Prior to his position at Vizo Financial, Fred worked for First Carolina Corporate Credit Union for over 15 years. He also served as an investment analyst/officer for another large corporate credit union and administered the corporate’s asset/liability management service, providing ALM software implementation, education and assistance. Fred received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Lebanon Valley College. He also attended the National Association of Federal Credit Unions’ Management Development Institute and maintains his Series 7 and 63 licenses in affiliation with Protective Securities.

DIANA CORDEIRO – Managing Director, CFGI Diana is a Managing Director is CFGI’s Boston office and brings over 19 years of experience to her clients providing solutions to complex accounting and operational challenges. Diana has worked with clients mostly in financial services including, Banking, Insurance, Specialty Finance, Fintech, Equipment Leasing, Real Estate, Property Management, and Construction. Diana has extensive experience in all aspects of financial reporting for both public and private companies. She has been supporting companies with their complex accounting matters that include, CECL, consolidation, and VIE analysis, hedging, purchase accounting, divestitures, restructurings, and stock based compensation. Diana has also led and managed various technical accounting adoptions. She has also implemented various process improvement projects targeted to provide efficiencies and additional value to executives by gaining greater insight and visibility into drivers of financial results.

DEAN RODIL – Chief Operating Officer, ARCSys Dean is the Chief Operating Officer for ARCSys. He has extensive experience defining strategy, implementing new initiatives, and managing ongoing operations teams with a focus on software development, infrastructure, and risk management. Dean has 18+ years of experience in industry and his career has been focused on large-scale, enterprise IT organizations with a concentration on application development, operations, cybersecurity, and business intelligence. Recently, Dean has worked in strategic consulting primarily focused on mergers and acquisition, technology diligence, and assessments. Prior to that Dean headed the IT group for a national insurance carrier.

CHAD KELLAR – CPA | Partner, Crowe Horwath

Chad leads Crowe’s Financial Services Advisory Practice and is overseeing Crowe’s CECL consulting services. Chad is one of the firm’s subject matter expert on the valuation and accounting for financial instruments. Chad has overseen 50+ CECL engagements for institutions in the $1B-$50B+ space including engagements with major technology vendors. Chad is overseeing the development of Crowe’s Credit360 technology platform for validation, audit and valuation of financial instruments. Chad has participated in various industry and regulatory events to provide insights and direction for CECL adoption.

Casey Tutor is the VP of Accounting Product Development and Analytics for ARCSys, where her primary responsibilities include guiding the product roadmap and software lifecycle alongside system alignment and regulatory governance. Prior to her work with ARCSys, Casey served in various accounting and financial management roles with companies such as Danchem Technologies and Kania and Associates. Casey brings experience in audit and financial systems implementation to her role.

JAMES “JIM” NOWE – Director of Regulatory Compliance at The Casey Group

Jim Nowe has over 36 years experience in the commercial banking and regulatory arenas. Jim was a National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). He has served as Examiner-in- Charge and Portfolio Manager over community banks, to include problem banks, across the country. Jim has led many targeted examinations focused on commercial credit, to include extensive experience in the Shared National Credit assessing risk in the largest financial institutions. He is also a trained instructor and has provided classroom-based instruction to bank examiners as well as developed course content and course materials for bank examiner training.
