This is certainly a time of change. We see it in the garden as the
abundance of flowers, fruits, nuts and vegetables is harvested and typically shared with all the neighbors, family, friends and strangers we can find! Late one morning, I wondered why it was so quiet in the park. Then I drove into work and got stuck behind a chipper yellow school bus! I was reminded that this too marks a time of change for youngsters, college bound students and their parents. We can also see it in the autumn leaves as the maples and aspens begin their golden/red transition. And, I am exceptionally grateful for the burst of warm end-of-summer sun and heat before the change to autumn’s cooler days sets in. I think with the transition into each season I say, “This is my favorite time of year.”
I mentioned in the our spring newsletter, that this is also a time of change for the Pacific Northwest Region as we transition operating from our present Region-based model into building Area Teams and expanding Outreach. We’re working out the details and what we hope this means to you is that you will experience very little change. If anything we are working towards the A.R.E. in the Northwest presenting more opportunities for you to be in touch with like-minded folks.
What is occurring is that most of the Regional administrative functions are being passed on to headquarters at Virginia Beach and the Area Teams will continue their programs and Outreach with the possibility that they will be able to expand these. There will still be a website and we anticipate being able to maintain the newsletter. Because most of the administrative duties are moving into the Area Teams who will report directly to Virginia Beach, most of the changes, we hope, will not impact our ARE family and friends.
The Transition Team is meeting in October to work on this process which should be final December 31, 2008, with the newly renovated, rejuvenated Pacific Northwest Region!
I want to personally thank all of you. And, I do mean each and every one of you! The love, support, generosity, caring and prayers and, Oh, did I mention love(!) that you continually demonstrate are the reason I love being a part of the work of Edgar Cayce. God Bless You.

As we get closer and closer to December 2012, we hear more and more about the Mayan prophecies for that time. Does the end of the calendar warn us of the end of the world, or does it mean the birth of a new era for experiences and growth?
Edgar Cayce reported that the Olmec and Mayan heartlands were strategically located between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and were heavily influenced by various missions and migrations from Mu and Atlantis. The ancient ‘Creation Records’ of the Maya, the Chinese and the Japanese, show the layers of influence from Mu and Atlantis. The power of the ‘Spiritual Message of Mu’ shines like a bluegreen gem within the ancient records, the Sacred Calendar and the 2012 Prophecies of the Maya.
Raymond Tarpey is an expert on both Edgar Cayce and the Mayans. He will be in Richland, WA, on April 18, 2009 to talk about Mu and the Mayan the prophecies and what they might mean to you. More information in the next issue!
Raymond holds an MA degree in Chinese History and
Language (1973) from St. John’s University. He is also an accomplished linguist, fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, and is a student of Mayan languages and classical Aztec Nahuatl. Raymond has given presentations on Mayan/Aztec history and spiritual exercises in New York, Seattle, and Portland. He also gave a presentation on “The Legacy of Mu/Lemuria” at last year’s A.R.E. Ancient Mysteries at Virginia Beach. Four of his articles have appeared in the A.R.E. Ancient Mysteries newsletter.

The Puget Sound Area Team continues to promote activities in the Region and we believe this will become more and more important as the years go by. We just provided local support for the program by Kevin Todeschi (see below). We are always looking for interested people to join us. In 2009 we hope to begin sponsoring more small, inexpensive or free events to promote a sense of community and help with spreading of the Cayce readings philosophy.

Kevin Todeschi gave an outstanding
program “Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records and Relationships” in Richland, WA, on Sept 27, and repeated it in South Seattle on Sept 28 at the Tukwila Community Center. Attendees were thrilled to say the least. With 66 people attending in Richland and about 90 in Tukwilla, this was a good opportunity for the CEO of Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., Kevin Todeschi, to reach out to the membership. Both facilities were modern and pleasant, and the sunshine was really appreciated as well. Many thanks to all the volunteers and to Kevin for coming to speak.

Steps Along the Path by Gordon Yumibe
Hi everyone, it’s time again for an update since the last
newsletter. Life has been continuing to deepen in meaning as I move forward in my spiritual development. I have been able to finish my course work in Transformational Astrology with Raye Mathis. I don’t think I can say enough about the wealth of information that I was able to glean from Raye’s astrology course, which concentrated on the four outer planets, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The study led me to explore how each planet had affected my life at various periods of time and how they helped lead me forward in my search for personal meaning. The study material covered Cayce’s viewpoint along with material from other sources. Though each planet has its own unique influence, it is the combination of all four planets working together that helps create the process that can transform one’s life. Cayce would probably say that each development or “stepping stone” helps one to achieve their highest aspirations or “Ideals”. There does seem to have been a life plan for me now that I’m able to look backwards. It certainly didn’t always seem like that.
If you have a natal horoscope available, look and see where each of these planets is located. The location can leave an indelible mark on your life depending which house it's in. There are also specific times in one’s life that each planet has its most profound impact. The obstacles that occur may be the result of Saturn’s influence and might lead one to make changes in one’s life. The new ideas one might encounter could be Uranus’ impact. Neptune’s influence might be felt as a transformation in one’s identity, a feeling of a larger connection to the Universe. Pluto’s influence might be the commitment to move forward and eliminate things that may be preventing one from moving towards goals. This process is available to each one of us in some new and challenging way. I think of it as a learning aid.
I will miss the presentation by Gary Renard at Virginia Beach in October. Having read his books, I’ve gained immeasurably from his lessons on forgiveness. They helped me grow beyond some internal obstacles that had been holding me back. I did buy the DVD “Gift from the Divine Conference, Becoming Fully Psychic” from the Beach. Kevin Ryerson, Mary Roach, and Maureen Caudill are the featured speakers. Watching Kevin Ryerson alone is worth “the price of admission.” The DVDs might be good for a study group to watch together.
In the last newsletter I mentioned that I had started using the radial device with some success. It helped revitalize areas in my physical being that had been causing much pain. I started using it as a regular part of my daily routine along with the gold and silver solutions. Now after using it awhile I also realized I needed to expand my “tool box” and have also started using massage and some new yoga stretching exercises. I’m waiting now to see what effect each one has as far as reducing my chronic pain. I’m hoping to see many of you at Kevin Todeschi’s presentation. The Area Teams in Seattle and the Tri-Cities and Headquarters are working hard getting everything all set up. I wish all our brothers and sisters God speed, and hope things are going well for you.
