• Blood enters the right top chamber of the heart• Blood then flows down to the right lower

chamber to be pumped out to the lungs• In the lungs, waste is taken from the blood; the

blood then gathers more oxygen• The blood returns to the heart and enters the

upper left chamber• The blood then flows down to the lower left

chamber and is pumped to all of the body organs and tissues.

• Risk factors is a term for the traits or habits that make a person more likely to get a disease

• Some risk factors you can do something about to prevent you from getting heart disease are:

- Physical inactivity - Cigarette smoking

- High blood cholesterol - Diabetes

- High blood pressure - Overweight
