• The heart is part of the circulatory system• The heart pumps blood and oxygen throughout

the body.• The circulatory system is made of all the vessels

that carry the blood throughout the body• Vessels carry blood to and from the heart

• Blood enters the right top chamber of the heart• Blood then flows down to the right lower

chamber to be pumped out to the lungs• In the lungs, waste is taken from the blood; the

blood then gathers more oxygen• The blood returns to the heart and enters the

upper left chamber• The blood then flows down to the lower left

chamber and is pumped to all of the body organs and tissues.

• Cardiac Arrest- Strikes immediately and without warning- Sudden or abrupt loss of heart function

the blood flow to the brain- Brain attack– It can result in paralysis of part of the body
