Parks and Scenic Attractions
*Buttermilk Falls State Park – S.R. 13, two miles south of Ithaca. 607-273-5761. Beautiful falls and gorge trail. Offers cabins, camping sites, picnic area, and swimming.
Clute Park – 4th Street, one mile east of downtown Watkins Glen. 607-535-4438. Scenic park on Seneca Lake in Watkins Glen offers picnicking, barbeques, camping, swimming, volleyball nets, skate park, and playground.
Cornell Botanical Gardens – 124 Comstock Drive, Ithaca. 607-255-2400. An area of great natural beauty and
building.
Finger Lakes National Forest – Lies on a ridge called the Backbone between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes in
trails that traverse gorges, ravines, pastures, and woodlands. For maps and information, visit the Hector
Havana Glen – One mile south of Montour Falls on Havana Glen Road off S.R. 14 (three miles south of

Sapsucker Woods, Cornell Lab of Ornithology A 230-acre sanctuary that emcompasses forests, ponds, and ferny swamps, and is home to abundant wildlife. Stop in the Visitor Center for tips on where to go and to borrow a pair of binoculars; join a guided bird walk; or download a trail map and explore on your own.
*Sugar Hill Fire Tower Park – Tower Hill Road, just one mile east of Farm Sanctuary. Hike or drive to this
