1. Large empty buildings
e.g. Ryde Arena; Town Hall; Vectis Hall; Ryde Theatre and Royal York Hotel
• Making the town look ‘scruffy’
• Not attractive to tourists
2. Trees, green spaces, hedges and lawns
• Need planting and caring for, especially along Monkton Mead Brook.
• Retain, maintain and sustain!
• Make these mandatory in any new development
3. Youth opportunities
• Ice skating or a supervised, indoor skate park?
• Need more activities/ facilities; not much for young people to do
