Road Corridor X consists of a total length of 2299,6km, as follows:       Main Axis: 1451,4km (77% motorways - 90% by 2008)     Branch A: 163,4km (55% motorways - 90% by 2012)     Branch B: 352,9km (28% motorways - 100% by 2009)     Branch C: 191,8km (74% motorways by 2010)     Branch D: 140,1km (no improvement)

Permitted maximum speed along the road axis: 120km/h (in most of the parts). The axis consists of highways or motorways. 57% of the road network consists of motorways. 90% of the Corridor X Main Axis will be reconstructed or upgraded to

motorway profile by the end of 2008.

Rail Corridor X consists of a total length of 2528,2km, as follows:     Main Axis: 1742,3km     Branch A: 154,3km     Branch B: 305,6km     Branch C: 161,0km     Branch D: 165,0km

The whole axis consists of single and double tracks lines per direction in a proportion of 64% and 36% respectively

92% of the total length of the Axis is electrified. 90% of the Corridor X rail network will be reconstructed or upgraded by

the end of 2010.
