Dear Mr. StolzI
In your letter dated September 14, 1977 you asked us to pro-vide to you within six months the test plans and test proce-dures for environmental qualification of all Class IEequipment by IEEE Std. 323-.1974 and IEEE Std. 344-1975. Thiswas to include three items:
1) List of all Class IE equipment to be supplied and themethod of qualification.
2) Test procedures and methods to be used in the qualifica-tion program.
3) Justification and basis for any exceptions taken to theabove standards.
As we indicated in our response dated October 7, 1977 toMr. John Stolz (NRC) from Mr. E. E. Van Brunt, Jr. (APS),we agreed to submit the requested information by March 1, 1978with the understanding that for Combustion Engineeringsupplied equipment, we would reference CENPD-255 "Class IEQualification." Additionally, we indicated that much of ourClass IE equipment is in various stages of procurement andthe test plans and methods will be sent to you as they be-come available to us.
Table 1 provides a list of all Class IE equipment to be sup-plied for PVNGS, excluding CE scope, and an identification ofthe methods used to qualify the type of equipment.
