This vacancy has come about due to a career move for our previous headteacher. Webelieveitpresentsauniqueopportunityforahighlytalentedandinspirationalleaderwhowillconstantlyreflectonandimprovecurrentpracticeandhaveavisiontoachievemore.

We feel that to trulyachieveanunderstandingofwhatweareabout,whatwestand forandhowwestrivetoattainthehigheststandardsinallwhatwedo,youareinvitedtovisittheschoolson21stor22ndApril.Wewouldencourageyoutocontactustoarrangeatimeto visit – the schools are 12miles apart and so youwill need to schedule approximatelythreehours for your visit. Youwill be shownaroundbyeither theChairofGovernorsoranotherGovernorateachschoolandalsowillhave timetomeetpupilsandmembersofstaff.

Budget

The schools are in a reasonable financial situation andwill havea sharedbudget for the

2016/2017 financial year. However, like most schools, governors anticipate increasing

budgetpressuresinthenearfutureandareconsciousofthechallengesthismayprovide.

Obviously,thefuturepupilnumbersattendingtheschoolwillbeasignificantfactorinthe

StaffingStructure

Both schools are led on a day to day basis by Heads of School and the current ActingHeadteacherwasdrawnfromwithinexistingstaff.TheSENCoworksacrosstheFederation

ensuring consistent provision for children, families and liaising with

otherprofessionalsandagencies.

Subject leaders are within each school, but we have developed a

collaborative approach to ensure cohesion across the federation,

whilst retaining each schools individual approach. All staff arecommitted to sharinggoodpracticeand resources for thebenefitof

Teaching across both schools is well supported by a number of highly skilled Teaching

Executive Head Teacher

Job Title: Executive Head Teacher Responsible to: The Governing Body and St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust Responsible for: All teaching and support staff Salary: LH2 Range 8 – 18 Working Pattern: Full-time Disclosure Level: Enhanced OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Working with the Governing Body and the St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust the Executive Head Teacher will provide professional, strategic leadership, and management across the Federation to ensure that the highest standards of child-centred education are provided for pupils in a safe, secure environment and thus secure the success of each school. The Executive Head Teacher is accountable for the education of all pupils and will ensure that all pupils benefit from the highest quality education and strive to achieve the highest standards.

Working with the Governing Body, the Executive Head Teacher will lead, develop and motivate all staff and manage the day-to-day operations of the schools. The Executive Head Teacher will aspire to lead All Saints C of E Primary, from good to outstanding and maintain Beer C of E Primary as outstanding.

• To secure excellent teaching through an analytical understanding of how pupils learn and of the

Assessing and Reporting

• To oversee the collection, organisation and analysis of performance data across the Federation. • To ensure that pupils’ work is recorded and lesson evaluations are effectively maintained. • To oversee the provision of assessment reports to monitor student progress. • To liaise with parents, ensuring that they are well informed about curriculum attainment and

progress and are able to understand targets for improvement, including the attendance at consultation evenings.

Safeguarding

• To take overall responsibility for safeguarding/Child Protection/LAC issues, including pupil safety and welfare.

Health and Safety

• To take responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of all staff and visitors to the Federation.
