CHI, Greater NOIDA (Affiliated to GGSIP University, New Delhi) NAAC ACCREDITED & ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFIED INSTITUTE ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2019-20 (18-20 JANUARY 2020) Sports is all about having fun, being physically active, learning the basics of sports and building co-ordination & motor skills and to display the participant’s self -confidence, patience, zeal and sportsmanship. Keeping the same in mind, Army Institute of Education organized Annual Sports Meet 2019-20 from 18-20 Jan 2020. The event initiated with the blessings of Dr Tania Gupta, Principal AIE. She encouraged the student-teachers to participate with the spirit of sportsmanship which is essential for any sports event. Dr Gupta motivated student-teachers for learning life lessons through sports. She also spoke about ethos, virtues and emphasized on inculcating comradeship in life. Dr Gupta gave best of her wishes to all the participants for the events. She felicitated chief guest of the day, Ms Ritu, Head of Department, Physical Education, Cambridge School, Greater NOIDA, Judge for the day Mr Jai Kumar, Assistant Professor, Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology, New Delhi. The Chief Guest, Ms Reetu Chaudhary motivated the students with her inspiring words and encouraged them to nurture themselves as good leaders. The event was also attended by Cmde (Dr) Vivek Chawla, Director AIMT, who highlighted the importance of sports in budding teacher’s life. Customary torch lighting was done by the dignitaries along with sports student representatives. After that Principal AIE declared the Sports Meet open. The event started with the March Past by all the four Houses, i.e., Pragya, Pratishtha, Pragyanam and Pratigya, where the students synchronized with their house members on the beats of drums. The day saw plethora of events which began with Basketball Finals, 100 mtr Race (Girls), 100 mtr Race (Boys), 4*100 mtr Relay (Girls), 4*100 mtr Relay (Boys), Tug of War. The events conducted on 18 Jan 2020 were Table Tennis – Singles & Mix Doubles, Badminton – Singles & Mix Doubles and on 19 Jan 2020 events like Basketball, Volleyball, Shot Put, Discus Throw, 200 mtr (boys & girls), 800 mts (girls
