Army/USMC Interoperability Demonstration

Objectives•

Develop solutions to communicate logistics requirements and situational awareness between cross-attached tactical units

Augment Services’

logistics systems business processes and Common Operational Picture capabilities

Explore implementation issues for Joint logistics and logistics situational awareness

Presenter
Presentation Notes
The objective of the demonstration is to advance Joint interoperability with the United States Army and United States Marine Corps. Logistics Innovation Agency (LIA) is the lead systems integrator and will oversee the integration necessary to conduct a joint Army/USMC demonstration which will integrate key portions from a number of on-going efforts including Joint Operations Concepts, Joint Integrating Concept; Net-centricity, Joint Focused Logistics, Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) and Sense and Respond Logistics. The goal is to provide the road map for transforming Army and USMC logistics to support the joint force logistician with the tools necessary to support joint operations and the Joint Force Land Component Commander.

Concept of Execution

Phase I•

Laboratory-based demonstration of interoperable architecture to test interfaces and information exchanges at the Tactical echelon

Mission threads includes Resupply of Class III(B), Class V, Logistics Situational Awareness and Maintenance support

Create blueprint for expanded Phase II effortsPhase II•

Platform-based application of Phase I architecture, expanded to integrate systems and processes in the Operational Echelon

Add mission thread for Class IX •

Platform-level data aggregated into C2 systems for Joint Logistics Situational Awareness
