This oft repeated proverb has a wealth of meaning
hidden behind it. It illustrates the importance of time
and drives home the fact that there is nothing more
precious than time . Just as tides that come as waves
in the sea do not last forever and go back as fast as
they come, time too does not stop or wait for any one.
Like all proverbs, this too has an interesting story
behind it
Once there was a king whose courtiers always kept on
flattering him and announced that if the king
ordered everything to stop, the world too would stop
working
Now the King wanted to check it and he went to the
seashore and ordered the waves to stop but nothing
happened. This made the king realise that nothing in
the world waits for anyone. He turned to his courtiers
and announced solemnly that time and tide wait for
none and that he too would be gone one day
Therefore dear children, if we procrastinate and
become an expert in wasting time, it’s we who are
going to bear the consequences.
Idlers and shirkers not only destroy their own future
but also of the nation
Hence do not waste even a minute of your precious life
and use it fruitfully and judiciously so that you are
richly rewarded for your efforts

Over billions of years, microorganisms and plants
evolved the remarkable process we know as photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis converts sun energy into chemical energy, thus providing
all life on Earth with food and oxygen. The cellular compartments housing
the molecular machines, the chloroplasts, are probably the most important
natural engines on earth. Many scientists consider artificially rebuilding
and controlling the photosynthetic process the "Apollo project ." It would
mean the ability to produce clean energy—clean fuel, clean carbon
compounds such as antibiotics, and other products simply from light and
carbon dioxide.
Marburg research team led by director Tobias Erb has succeeded
successfully created a platform for the automated construction of cell-sized
photosynthetically active compartments, "artificial chloroplasts," that are
able to capture and convert the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide with light..

Did you know that you have 43 different pairs of nerves that connect your
central nervous system to the rest of your body, and that 12 of these nerve
pairs connect to the brain, while the remaining ones connect with the spinal
cord?
There are more nerve cells in the human brain than there are stars in the
Milky Way.
If we lined up all the neurons in our body it would be around 965 km long.
The left side of human brain controls the right side of the body and the right
side of the brain controls the left side of the body.
There are 100 billion neurons in your brain alone.
A newborn baby's brain almost triples in size during the course of its first
year.
The longest nerve in the body is the sciatic nerve. It runs from the spinal cord
to the toes on each side of the body.
