Aron was born on March 11, 1970 in Dunkirk, New York to his parents Rebecca McConnell and Emery Masiker. He graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 1995 with an A.S. in Computer Science. He married Janet Masiker (née Brassfield) on December 6th, 1997 and together they welcomed their daughter into the world on February 11th, 1999. Aron is survived by his wife Janet Masiker, his daughter Kelsey (Chris Padilla) Masiker, his father Emery (Sandra) Masiker of Liberty, KY, his brothers Emery Masiker of Stockton, NY, Eric (Eileen) Masiker of Stockton, NY, and Tim McConnell-Seaba of Brighton, IA, his step-brother Edward Lindahl of Liberty, KY, his sisters Sonya Masiker of Richmond, VT, Michelle (John) Mosher of Sinclairville, NY, Emily Masiker of Liberty, KY, and Ashley Seaba of Brighton, IA, his aunts Connie Horton of Brighton, IA and Marge (Ron) Nosbisch of Dunnellon, Florida, his uncles Tim (Janis) McConnell of Wayland, IA and Bob (Sue) Masiker of Boynton Beach, Florida, his in-laws Kenneth (Elizabeth) Holt of Geneseo, IL, his brother-in-law Allen (Elizabeth Lively) Dale of Geneseo, IL, his sisters-in-law Laura (Duane) Plumley of Geneseo, IL and Sandra Atwell of Orion, IL, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Rebecca McConnell, his aunt Sue Bushnell, his grandparents Emery Masiker, Velma Masiker, Marilyn Jeannette Fessenden, Raymond Fessenden, and Richard McConnell, and his brother-in- law Billy Dale. Aron was incredibly intelligent, yet humble. He was an excellent problem- solver, and always saught out new information to learn. He was an avid reader, enjoying books such as the Foundation Series by Isaac Asimov, Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, and the Misthaven series by J. Battle (on which he collaborated with the author.) He also enjoyed movies, preferably with the music very loud for dramatic effect, like The Hobbit series, The Matrix series, Don’t Mess With the Zohan, John Carter, and Avatar. He spent a lot of time listening to bands such as Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Five Finger Death Punch, and many more. His love for knowledge, music, movies, and books is shared by his daughter and many people who knew him. Coworkers described him as someone who was generally quiet, but not afraid to speak his mind or offer help when appropriate. His family members remember him as the foundation of their household, and as someone filled with wisdom and love. He will be deeply missed by every person who was blessed enough to know him.
