KUPWARA: An Army soldier allegedly committedsuicide by shooting himself with his service rifle inKupwara district on Tuesday. He was on duty whenhe shot himself and committed suicide.

A casevide FIR No. 72/2019 under Sections 8, 21 and 22NDPS Act was registered against the accused atPolice Station Bari Brahmana.
Meanwhile, Katra Police arrested a drug peddlerand recovered 10 gm heroin from his possession.The accused has been identified as Bishan Dass,resident of Kanthal. A case under relevant sectionsof law was registered against him.
