Quality assured.Solid cutters by miniToolsCoating adhere to the latest quality standards, and specific heat treating for different materials ensures this consistency throughout the life of the tool. Inspection certificates are available if required.
High performance coatingsminiToolCoating solid cutters receive the latest in PVD coatings; each coating specially optimized for the application of the tools. These coatings, combined with precision sharpening, provide for considerably increased tool life.
Available coatings include:
TiN or TiCN Standard coatings
ALTICROME proprietary coating available together with special material S390 and special tool geometry under the name CUTSPEED (excellent for formate cutting)
SILICUT proprietary coating available together with special material MTC90 and special tool geometry, optimized for generate cutting.
Each solid cutter is shipped in its own wooden protective case to ensure
the integrity of the tool. Stock can be maintained in Chicago as needed.
In addition to standard sizes, customers can provide nominal diameter specifications, as well as tip radius, Toprem profiles, and cutting edge crowning. For 6, 7.5, and 9 inch crown type cutters, the correct clamping device is provided.

ASP2023 without Cobalt for traditional operations
S390 for higher performance on CNC gear cutting machines
MTC90 (up to 4.5”) – a special material with higher hardness and heat resistance for enhanced performance.
