ed 2,720 job seekers utilized Job Search Resource

Center, Employment Resource Groups, CareerNet Networking program, individualized career counseling and employment workshops.

854 children benefited from school mental-health consultation to Jewish preschools, day schools and supplemental schools.

1,638 older adults received one or more services to help them remain safe and independent in their homes.

568 adults and children received age-appropriate individual or family counseling.

192 children and adults with special needs received professional services.

310 women, men and children received Family Violence intervention services.

4,260 adults and children received food from the Food Pantry.

Year The Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas

Foundation was established to ensure the long-term viability of the agency.

JFS received the Pam Blumenthal Award from The Mental Health Association of Greater Dallas for quality of care and delivery of services to people with mental illnesses.

Networking and support groups were established for veterans, parents of children with special needs and women age 50+ seeking employment.

JFS partnered with Metrocrest Social Services to provide career-and-employment services, computer literacy for job seekers and free one-on-one consultation to help job-seekers prepare for interviews.

The “Inclusion Experience” curriculum was developed for schools and organizations as a hands-on, interactive, multi-sensory program allowing participants to “feel” the effects of learning disabilities.

100% of adult clients in family-violence counseling created a Safety Plan allowing for their greater physical and psychological safety.

94% of adults achieved 2 of their 3 goals within 90 days of starting mental-health counseling.

98% of Food Pantry clients reported eating at least twice a day after receiving food from the JFS Pantry, preventing hunger.

80% of frail, older adult clients remained independent, with the assistance of JFS services.

74% of clients who received individualized employment guidance secured a job within 6 months and reported continued employment at 1 year.

90% of child clients who received personalized services showed improvement in mental health.
