Playbooks provided. $5 ART IN THE FORM OF FILM SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN / APRIL 19 FRIDAY Perhaps the best known and best loved Hollywood musical, is set in 1927 as talkies are beginning to displace silent films. Stars Gene Kelly and Jean Hagen are an on-screen couple, and perhaps off-screen as well. They and their studio must scramble to adapt when it becomes clear that silent movies are going away.
