His images of Classic Antiquity still influence directors of films such as Gladiator and Ben Hur. This international loan exhibition will be complemented by its installation at Leighton House Museum, the home and studio of the leading Victorian artist and Tadema friend, Frederic Lord Leighton (1830–96) and considered one of the finest architectural sights in London.
