Explore the Albertopolis and design a hoardingfor the V&As Exhibition Road redevelopment.

    Creative challenge

Located in an area dubbed the Albertopolis, the V&AsExhibition Road redevelopment is creating a purpose-builtunderground gallery designed by Amanda Levete Architects(AL_A). Te redevelopment will provide amazing new spacesor the V&As internationally renowned programme otemporary exhibitions, reveal a magnicent courtyard space, which has never been seen by the public, and create a newentrance rom Exhibition Road on the west side o the museum.

Work will begin on the redevelopment in 2013 and will opento the public in 2016. While the work is being undertaken, ahoarding will be erected around the site to shield the buildingworks and inspire the public.

Your brie is to imagine a design or the hoarding, inormthe public about the redevelopment and also reect the localcommunity and history o the cultural quarter. Tis is a largescale piece o visual communication or the museum. It needs to

work hard to build anticipation around the project and increaseaudiences by encouraging people to visit the museum. Howcould your idea help to achieve this?
