Welcome to North Devon’s open art studiosNow in its ninth year, Art Trek continues to represent local artists as theythrow open the doors of their homes and studios to celebrate, with you, thequality and diversity of the arts and crafts made in the beautiful NorthDevon area. You can talk informally to some of our best artists and makersand see work in progress, on-site demonstrations and take part inworkshops.

The studios include National Trust properties, art galleries, cafés, schoolrooms, ateliers and homes spread amongst the area’s coast andcountryside which so inspires our artists, whose disciplines range frompainting, sculpture, printmaking, textiles and jewellery to photography, stained glass, wood-carving, furniture, ceramics and multi-media. We aregrateful to Stella Levy for her encouragement and co-ordination in gettingso many artists involved.

Art Trek 2012 spans the first three weekends in July, from 7 to 22, withmany artists also opening during the week and throughout the year. Thelocations and details are listed on pages 14 and 15 in this brochure. Listingsfor each venue are on the website at www.ndtt.org.uk/arttrek, where youcan find more information on dates, times, locations, accessibility, parking, demonstrations, workshops, bus routes and cycle routes.

If you have any queries, the artists involved in Art Trek will always bedelighted to hear from you and sometimes, with the more remote venues,it’s worth ‘phoning beforehand to get exact directions.

Have a wonderful Art Trek and enjoy discovering the abundance of creativetalent in North Devon.
