Career Beginning

• Tyra’s career began in early 2011 with the release of her mixtape “No Ceilings”. The mixtape received great response from the public leading her to feature on a song with Usher, the song became an international success, this led to the production and release of Tyra’s debut studio album in September 2014 titled “For You”. The album has already topped the charts in the US, UK and Australia, and went on to be the best selling album on iTunes this year.

Tyra certainly didn’t grow up in a rich family or with a lot of money, she was discovered by somebody from SONY music on her YouTube channel, she uploaded simple videos of her singing covers often to her YouTube channel and had gained some popularity, leading this person from SONY to find out about her. This led to her getting a record deal.
