We are the only multi-arts center in Nassau County. Since 1993, well over 100,000 people of all ages and backgrounds have taken advantage of our many classes, live performances, work-shops, films and art exhibits.
We are affiliates of the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts: Partners in Education Program and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
Our Arts-in-Education Outreach Programs have benefited tens of thousands of students, teachers and senior citizens in communities throughout the region. We have also provided hundreds of schol-arships to talented and deserving students throughout our region.

Arts Center faculty consists of renowned actors, artists, sculptors, dancers and musicians with prestigious professional and educational resumes, and have included: graduates of The Julliard School, Yale University, New York University and other prestigious universities, dancers and performers with the Eglevsky Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, the Harkness Ballet, The American Ballet Theatre and the Metro-politan Opera, musicians who have performed at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway and beyond, clowns from Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, MTV video dance choreographers and artists who have exhibited around the world.
Our students and audiences come from over 200 zip codes throughout Long Island and Queens.
DIRECTIONS TO THE ARTS CENTER: Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 33, then turn north on Lakeville Rd. After crossing Northern Blvd., Lakeville Rd. becomes Middle Neck Rd. Continue into town; turn right at the 8th traffic light onto Maple Drive. Make the first left into the outdoor parking lot. The entrance to the Arts Center is in the corner of the lot.

FIGURES AND FASHION (A SENSE OF STYLE) Ages 7+ Learn figurative illustration techniques and how it relates to fashion. Coordinate color, texture, fabric patterning and how to set new style trends. Learn how different periods of time influenced fashion over the years. Since graduating Fashion Institute of Technology, Ms. Berson has been working as an educator and fashion illustrator.

CARTOONING Ages 7–16ALL LEVELSThis course offers traditional and contemporary forms of making cartoons. Children that are interested in basic cartooning techniques such as character design, comic strips and story telling will learn hands on drawing techniques. Project themes are student centered giving the children a sense of control over what they learn. Using iPads, tablets and laptops, students are wel-come to create digital drawings to bring their cartoons to life. The students will learn how to animate using stop motion animation. They will also use digital pro-grams that are accessible through apps and other online resources to create unique works of art.

A complimentary 15 minute consultation with our instructors is available. We offer private instruction in violin, guitar, voice, sax, flute, clarinet, piano, trombone, trumpet, cello, and bass. VOCAL EXPRESSIONS CHORAL GROUP Ages 10+ (Audition Required)This class is designed for those students dreaming of a professional singing career. Our talented students will learn the art of performing songs in various and selected styles such as rock, R&B, folk and country. The instructor will help to develop and hone a young artist’s confidence in his/her ability to perform while reinforcing proper vocal technique. In addition to class, private voice lessons can be taken. Please note: Two 3hr. Saturday sessions dates TBD.

VOCAL EXPRESSIONS JR. CHORAL GROUP Ages 7+Let’s bring down the house! This modern vocal group will sing the latest music with dynamic style and passion. Students will learn to produce simple harmonies, solo vocals, and create a vibrant performance for a live audience. Each class includes group vocal lessons. Benefit from vocal training in a group setting.

Music Together® is a delightful, joyous approach to music-making with your child. For children newborn through 8 years old, and the adults who love them, this exceptional program offers families an oppor-tunity to sing, dance, play and learn together in a
relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting. It nourishes parents’ efforts to create a rich musical environment at home, regardless of their musical abilities. The following programs are offered:
Music Together Family Classes – This is the essential Music Together class and is appropriate for families with children age 0 – 5yrs (classes are mixed ages).
Music Together Babies – This special introduction to Music Together is appropriate for families with infants younger than 8 months who are interested in learning as much as possible about music development in infants.
Music Together Rhythm Kids – Our newest program, this is the next musical step for big kids ages 4 through 8 years old and includes drumming, music games, conducting and dramatic play.
Tuition for all classes includes CD, illustrated songbook and access to Music Together’s Family Music Zone. Music Together is brought to GCAC by While They’re Little. ADULT DRAWING AND PAINTINGBeginner and experienced painters welcome. A focus on drawing and painting, from observation and imagi-nation, using pencil, charcoal, pastels and paint. ELLIMAN FILM SERIESJoin Douglas Elliman Real Estate and the Gold Coast International Film Festival for the fifth season of the Elliman Film Series! The Elliman Film Series is a monthly screening series that previews the best new independent films and studio releases, followed by Q&As with filmmakers and industry professionals.
