- You will take part in discussions relating to a variety of
situations and topics.

- This AS course will be suitable for you if you are taking your
GCSE in French this Summer and wish to continue learning the
language at a higher level.

- If you are interested in using a language in one of the many
jobs where knowledge of French would be an advantage e.g.
journalism, business, medicine, law etc.

assessed?
- French-Advanced Level AS level equivalent
- The listening, reading and writing papers are
computer-based.
- In the listening and reading papers, you will show you can
understand interviews and texts and be expected to answer
multiple-choice questions, understand sections of continuous
language and identify ideas in extracts.
- The speaking paper is examined by an assessor. You will speak
in response to stimuli. You will present topics and express and
justify opinions at a more advanced level.
- In writing, you will demonstrate your ability to write in a
variety of registers & formats.
