TABLE OF CONTENTS Testing requirements listed in the product protocols that follow contain regulatory requirements that are based on laws and regulations in the USA as well as Canada. All product is required to conform to the applicable regulatory requirements of both localities. For the products covered by this manual, conformance in the USA will be accepted as verification of conformance in Canada whenever possible. For this reason, only Canadian regulations that differ from the corresponding USA regulation are listed in the protocols.

Apparel Fabric Testing – Woven PROTOCOL-101
Submit: A minimum of two (2) yards in one (1) colorway must be submitted for full package testing. One half (1/2) yard of each additional color is to be submitted for additional colorway testing (as applicable). Submitted fabric must be representative of finished bulk fabric that will be used in garment production. Note: Actual sample quantity required may be communicated separately by BVCPS if the samples submitted are not large enough to work with.

SCOPE This protocol addresses watches. Submit: Approximately 15-20 finished products depending on size or amount necessary to proceed with full testing of each component separately. The number of samples that are required for testing varies. The following is a general guideline. For more precise guidance, contact the lab prior to submitting samples.

Permanent and distinguishing mark or code on the product and its packaging, to the extent practicable, allows the manufacturer and purchaser to ascertain the name of the manufacturer or private labeler, location and date of production of the product. Report as DATA only and include photo of tracking label in report.

All accessible substrates, before and after use and abuse testing, shall not contain lead in excess of 0.01% (100ppm) of the weight of the total content. Component testing is not allowed. (Only finished product is allowed). Compositing is not allowed

All accessible surface coatings, before and after use and abuse testing, shall not contain lead or lead components in which the lead content is in excess of 0.009% (90ppm) of the weight of the total content. Component testing is not allowed. (Only finished product is allowed). Composite testing is only allowed if there is still not enough to complete testing on
individual colors, compositing is allowed for up to 3 colors. Based on CPSC SOP, will composite up to 3 colors. If any color in the composite exceeds 80% of the limit (72 ppm), based on the lowest weight component, individual colors will be analyzed.
