How to Make a Fraction!

o First you take the square

o Then you divide it into equal parts

o Color one part Red

Making a Fraction

o Now take the Red part and make it into a fraction

o Red parts: 1o Total parts: 4o Fraction of Red parts

Making a Fraction

o Let’s explain this a bit more carefully

o If the cake is cut into eight pieces and three are not eaten. What’s the fraction of uneaten pieces?

o Ans: 3/8
