ANATOMY ONCADAVER WORKSHOPThe Cadaver Workshops are IMCAS-classic sessions led by renowned anatomists and distinguished experts who, through a combination of cadaver dissections and live patient demonstrations, present both the anatomy and techniques for injectables and threads.
4 hours of these intensive anatomy workshops await you during IMCAS Asia Class. Here’s a sneak peek of how the depth Cadaver Workshop brings to your practice:
“A procedure that is very common and highly on-demand for facial rejuvenation is orbital injections. The infraorbital area is quick to show sign of aging as the anterior face drops down and the ligaments become very prominent, a process we call the infraorbital hallowing. For an area that easily shows signs of aging, the procedure to restore is actually quite tricky because the anatomy is tricky.
But if you go into the injection procedure without a thorough review of your anatomy beforehand, your filler injection may result in visible nodules, lumps, bumps or even the skin turning slightly blue, what we call the Tyndall effect.

Why? There are only 3 anatomical layers in the tear trough: (1) very thin skin, (2) very thin muscle – actually there is the insertion of the muscle, that is a tendon with the fusion of the zygomatic cutaneous ligaments and orbicularis retaining ligaments – and (3) the bone. There is no fat! So, when I inject I place my product as close as possible to the bone because otherwise everything will be visible. I also use a very small amount because I don’t have so much to lift, just to smoothen this area.”

WHAT ARE THEY SAYING ABOUT OUR DIGITAL EDITION IN 2020
“The cadaver workshop was great! It was even better than the actual class when only the doctors who positioned themselves in front can see clearly. The Aesthetic Anatomy Injection Class was very informative and helped me update my techniques and build more confidence in doing the procedures for better results and safer techniques. The virtual anatomy course has been a success and I’m glad to have been a part of it.”
Dr Pauline LIM-RAMOS, MD, Philippines
“I just cannot praise the Academy enough for the amazing work. I have really enjoyed the Injectables webinars and I am looking forward to experience more of them.”
Dr Ana Gabriela HOCHFELD, Dermatologist, Germany
“I always wanted to attend IMCAS, but could not till now due to time restrain. Virtual classes gave me flexibility and time to attend at my comfort without missing my practice. Virtual classes gave the opportunity for everyone to see the demonstration closely, unlike in real classes where only those near to instructor get to see.”
Dr Jameel ISMAIL, Dermatologist, Qatar
“I think that IMCAS Academy is very beneficial for both young and experienced plastic surgeons because we gain access to new information, and our patients can benefit from the latest treatments in the field. Thankful that I can access all these resources. New information leads to more efficient treatment methods!”
Dr Dragos George POPA, Facial plastic surgeon, Romania Feedback received for IMCAS Aesthetic Anatomy & Injection Class from September 3 to 5, 2020, and for LIVE webinars on IMCAS Academy
