Fred Chong (45) is the founder and Group CEO of WebTVAsia, one of Asia’s fastest growing digital entertainment companies. With diversified businesses in digital media, film, TV, artiste, events, marketing, training and technology, WebTVAsia's video network of 2500 channels surpasses 25 billion minutes watch time monthly and reaches 420 million subscribers worldwide.
Fred is also an award-winning filmmaker and musician with recognition at film festivals in New York, Osaka, Busan and Beijing. He advocates innovation and commercialization of intellectual properties as the key to success as a media entrepreneur and content creator. His biggest motivation is to build an ecosystem that launches a new generation of Asian creators to produce world-class content.
Fred holds a Master Degree in Engineering Management (MEM) from University of Canterbury, New Zealand and also studied production at the New York Film Academy. He is a frequent speaker in many international media and entertainment conferences where he shares his views on how WebTVAsia can play a vital role in future of Asia media entertainment landscapes.
