WELCOMEThe Kia Oval is one of the most historic sporting landmarks in the world – situated in the heart of London – and now one of the capital’s most unique wedding destinations.

We offer both modern and traditional facilities, combining the ground’s extraordinary heritage with our reputation as one of the most forward thinking stadiums in the country.

The Oval was the place where both the Indian and Sri Lankan cricket teams won their first ever overseas Test Match; the ground Pakistani legends including Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq and Azhar Mahmood call home and will be the site of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final.

With this Asian heritage combining with over 170 years of English cricketing legend – including Sir Donald Bradman’s last ever Test innings and the extraordinary Ashes triumph of 2005 – where better place to stage a spectacular ceremony?

ROOMS ON OFFERThe Long Room

Situated in the heart of the ground’s Victorian Pavilion, the Long Room is over 100 years old and displays the iconic cricketing history of The Oval. Decorated with a traditional oak finish, plush carpets and a beautiful chandelier, it has a seated capacity of 100 and, if required, a large number of separate smaller rooms in the same building.

England Suite

A large suite in the modern OCS Stand with a capacity of 500, two bars, a linked kitchen and fabulous pitch views, this room has proved particularly popular for Hindu ceremonies in recent years. It would be an amazing space for an evening party, an early drinks reception or a glamorous wedding reception!

3 4ENGLAND SUITE

Ashes Suite

A similar space to the England Suite, with a more intimate capacity of 360 and sweeping views across the stadium. With two bars and a linked kitchen it is the perfect space for a reception, wedding breakfast or large dinner and also contains two ‘fold up’ partition walls, enabling you to transform the room into as many as three separate spaces.

Corinthian Roof Terrace

A majestic roof terrace on top of the OCS Stand with unparalleled panoramic views of both The Oval and the London skyline. The Corinthian Roof Terrace is a truly exceptional area that can be used for a memorable drinks reception, outdoor BBQ or open air dining.

India Room

A smaller room with a capacity of 160, the India Room was opened by Sachin Tendulkar and Sir John Major in 2005 and is decorated with pictures of great Indian cricketers. It features a bar, a linked kitchen and an outdoor terrace with a standalone bar and superb views. It would be an ideal space for evening drinks and dancing following a magnificent dinner elsewhere in the ground.

CHEF KAPIL KAUSHIKAn award winning, creative and passionate chef of Indian origin, with knowledge of various cuisines, Chef Kaushik has trained and worked at iconic venues like the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi, Leeds Castle and Murrayfield Stadium.

He has worked in the hospitality industry for over eighteen years, graduating from one of the most prestigious institutes in India before beginning his career with Habitat World in New Delhi. After moving to Edinburgh, he won the prestigious ‘International Indian Chef of the Year’ competition.

Taking inspiration from his native India, supplemented by his knowledge of world cuisines, Chef Kaushik combines his love of locally sourced British ingredients with his creative nature. During his career, he has worked with many world renowned chefs.

He has always been keen on innovation and this is reflected in his cross-cultural menus, bringing together the finest flavours of East and West. A vastly experienced Head Chef, he is equally capable of using cutting edge techniques or a classic traditional method. Either way, he is guaranteed to cater for all tastes and will help to deliver a scintillating and memorable wedding day for all.

When you hire one of these rooms we will provide you with tables, chairs and use of the preparation kitchen associated with the room hired. We will also provide you with security for the duration of your event and a cleaner to maintain the public areas of the building, including the toilets. A duty manager will be on site to be a point of contact throughout the event. Rooms are all subject to availability.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Nishit Parmar is a London based photographer, specialising in covering weddings of different faiths and religions. He predominantly shoots Asian weddings, ranging from colourful Sikh weddings to opulent Hindu weddings and beautiful Muslim weddings. He has partnered with the Kia Oval on many occasions, working closely with couples to capture their special day exactly as they would like.
