Run programs only with a full loadWait to run a program until the dishwasher is full. Thisway you save energy. Use the Rinse & Hold programto rinse the dishes if there are any unpleasant odourswhile you wait for the dishwasher to become fullyloaded.

Run programs at a lowertemperatureIf the dishes are only slightly dirty, you can select alower temperature with certain programs. See alsothe sectionSelect options in the chapterDishwashing.

Select a program with Short dryTo save energy, use Short dry. The drying result willbe better if, once the program is finished, you leavethe door slightly open.

Do not rinse under running waterSimply scrape off large food particles before loadingthe dishwasher.

Choose a green detergentRead the environmental declaration on the packaging!

Connect to cold water...If you use oil or electricity to heat your home.

Some cookware is not dishwasher safe. This can befor several reasons. Somematerials cannot withstandstrong heat, others can be damaged by dishwashingdetergent.

Fragile decorationPorcelain with decoration on top of the glazing (theitems feel rough) should not be washed in adishwasher.

Crystal/GlassPosition items so that they do not touch each otherduring the wash. Use the lowest possible washtemperature and the shortest possible program.Select Short dry. Antique and very fragile items shouldnot be washed in a dishwasher.Glass washed in a dishwasher at high temperaturescan gradually develop a grey film that cannot beremoved. Wash fragile glasses at a low temperatureand with a small amount of detergent.

SilverSilver and stainless steel items should not come intocontact, as the silver can become discoloured.

Cutlery with glued handlesSome types of glue are not dishwasher safe. In suchcases, the handles may loosen.

WoodWooden items should only bewashed in a dishwasherif marked dishwasher safe.

AluminiumAluminium can lose its shine if washed in adishwasher. However, good quality aluminium panscan be washed in a dishwasher, even if some of theshine will be lost.

Plastic itemsAvoid washing plastic items that cannot withstandhigh temperatures.

Drainage connectionWhen the drainage hose is routed to a connectionnipple on the sink unit's water trap (see illustration 1),please note that the hose must be attached at thesame height as the underside of the sink unit, otherwise dishwater from the sink may flow back intothe dishwasher. The drainage hose is threaded ontothe cone-shaped connection pipe on the sink unit'swater trap. The cone-shaped pipe must be cut to aninternal diameter of at least 14 mm. For otherconnection alternatives, see illustrations 2 and 3.The drainage hose may be extended by a maximumof 3 m (the total length of the drainage hose must notexceed 4,5 m). Any joins and connecting pipes musthave an internal diameter of at least 14mm.However,the drainage hose should ideally be replaced with anew hose without joins. No part of the drainage hose may be more than 950mm above the bottom of the dishwasher. The hosemust not be routed directly to the floor drain or similar. In such cases, the hose can act as a siphon andempty the dishwasher. The hose must always discharge at least 350 mmabove the bottom of the machine.Ensure that the drainage hose has no kinks.

NOTE!

The hose must be attached at the same height asthe underside of the sink.
