Tomorrow’s
keepsakes
today Vows
made
in Fiji
Joe Cronin took half a century to choose his bride but the wedding was definitely worth the wait. Married for the first
time on Friday, April 22, the 64-year-old financial adviser couldn't have been happier as he and Fiona Jamieson
exchanged vows beside the Sofitel Resort chapel on Denarau Island, Fiji, two days after the annual national conference
Joe was attending wound-up. The couple chose Fiji for their wedding because the conference being held there offered
the perfect opportunity to have a ceremony that was just for them. “We had a wedding planner make all the arrange-
ments and all we had to do was get dressed and turn up — it was perfect,” Fiona said. The Brisbane couple planned to
have another ceremony back in Australia when their families could also celebrate.
