PRODUCT INFORMATION

PET Resin is used to produce PET Preforms, which are then used to blow PET bottles using high pressure and bi-oriented 'process. PET is food grade plastic and is approved worldwide as being a safe medium of bottling beverages.Blow moulding is the process of inflating a hot, hollow, thermoplastic preform or parison inside a closed mold so its shape conforms to that of the mould! cavity. A wide variety of hollow parts, including plastic bottles , can be produced from many different plastics using this process.There are three basic blow moulding processes:Stretch Blow Moulding; . Injection Blow Moulding; . Extrusion Blow Moulding,

PET Preforms are manufactured using a process called Injection Moulding . In the injection blow molding process, tha material is injection moulded. The hot material, still on the core pin, is then indexed 'to the blow moulding station where it is blown into a bottle and allowed to cool. For processing PET it is critical that this core pin be cooled. The bottle is then indexed to the next station and ejected'.

Injection blow moulding allows more precise detail in the neck and finish (threaded) area than extrusion blow moulding.This process involves the Preforms to be heated below 90oC using infrared heater.

Through the use of a blow mould that is rotating and under extreme high pressure (about 40 bar) the Preforms are transformed into PET bottles of specific size, shape and dimension. If required, approved master batch colorant is added to produce different colours of PET bottles.
