READY TO DISCOVER A NEW WAY OF WORKING?The beating heart of our success is our

big name brands with savings of up to 60% less
than the recommended retail price. Our culture
guides the behaviours and choices that drive our
business and contribute to its effectiveness and
success. Inclusion and diversity are paramount
and we encourage partnerships among all our
associates, so all who join us are welcomed in
the company, valued for their contributions and
engaged with our business mission.
HOW WE WORKWe’ve got our own way of doing things – it
defines us and the working culture we love.
WE’RE A ONE-OFFEverything about us is a little different.
The products we sell. The way we do
business. The people who work for us.
We thrive on difference.
AHEAD OF THE GAMEWe live in the now – with eyes fixed firmly on
the future. Curiosity is our energy. We evolve
constantly and ask questions. Continuous
development makes us stronger as a team.

about the impact of our business on the world.
And we’re determined to make a difference in
the communities we’re a part of.

MEGAN Merchandising
We conduct our business with the highest
level of integrity. We have a history of
giving back, and have made it central to
our organisation and what we do.
WE HAVE FOUR PILLARS OF CR
To the communities where we live and work; to
our current and future associates; to our vendors
and business partners in our supply chain; and
to making a positive, sustainable impact on our
world and environment.
SUPPORTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES
We aim to help vulnerable children and young
people achieve their full potential, by helping
them overcome challenges with health,
education or poverty. We partner with local
and national charities across Europe including
Cancer Research UK for Children & Young
People, Comic Relief, The Princes Trust, Enable
Ireland, CHILDREN in Germany and WIOSNA
in Poland. Since 2004, we’ve raised over £60
million for our charity partners.
TRADING RESPONSIBLY
We are committed to responsible business
practices and review our policies regularly. We
set high ethical and environmental standards
for ourselves and those we do business with.
Our stores are filled with products from across
the world. Our Vendor Code of Conduct helps
ensure that we source them responsibly.
It also ensures that our vendors and their
subcontractors know what we consider
acceptable in terms of: working hours, safety
in the workplace, wages and conditions, as
well as safeguarding that the products we
buy are in accordance with all applicable
laws and regulations.
In the remote Rwenzori region of Uganda, we’ve
established a sustainable trade programme to
support children in completing their primary
education, through providing increased income
from the production and sale of coffee, cocoa,
cotton and crafts. Since 2011, over 4,000
local people have benefitted directly from
the scheme, and if you consider their families
and dependents, the social impact multiplies
significantly – not to mention the expansion
in numbers of children completing primary
school education.
REDUCING OUR IMPACT
ON THE ENVIRONMENT
We’re committed to pursuing initiatives that
are smart for our business and good for the
environment. As holders of the Carbon Trust
standard, in 2018 we reduced our footprint by
over 15% and we’re on track to reduce it by
30% by 2020. We’ve achieved a lead rating
from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP),
a recognised global carbon benchmark.
We’ve removed the biggest contributors to
ocean waste plastic from all our stores and
offices, including plastic drink bottles, single
use carrier bags, straws, plastic cups and
non-biodegradable wipes.
AN EMPLOYER WHO PROMOTES CHOICE
We celebrate diversity and encourage creativity.
We want our people to get involved and think
outside the box.
We’re one of the biggest supporters of the
Prince’s Trust’s ‘Get into Retail Programme.’
Working in close collaboration we’ve designed a
programme to help 16 to 25 year-olds build their
confidence, develop new skills and gain valuable
experience. Which means young people benefit
and we gain a new pool of talent! Since 2014,
over 1,000 young people from 15 cities across
the UK have been supported through the
programme. Over 70% have gone on to get
full-time jobs with us – with a number of them
now in team leadership positions. TJX Europe
has also begun piloting a work placement
programme working with disadvantaged
groups, such as young homeless people.

After, you’ll return back to university to complete
your final year.
WHAT ABOUT VISAS?Sorry, we can’t sponsor any visa applications.
This includes anyone on a Tier 4 student visa.
WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?For most programmes you’ll be based in our
European head office in Watford, UK. If you’re
moving to the UK, we’ll offer a relocation
package to help make the move as smooth
as possible. If you are applying for the Loss
Prevention Graduate Programme you will be
based in Germany.
I WANT TO WORK ABROAD.
ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES
WITH TJX EUROPE?As your career progresses you’ll find
opportunities to work in different countries
across Europe and maybe even further afield.
WHAT’S THE APPLICATION
PROCESS LIKE?
Stage 1 When you submit your CV we’ll ask you
a series of questions to get to know you more.
Stage 2 If your application is progressed to
the next stage, you’ll be asked to complete a
selection of online psychometric assessments.
Stage 3 If successful, we’ll invite you to
complete an online video interview to hear
more about you and your understanding
of TJX Europe.
Stage 4 The final stage will be an assessment
centre at our head office; which provides an
opportunity to get to know you better and
establish whether TJX is the right place for you.
