ASSA– Alexandria: ASSA is a full member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations–Egypt (IFMSAEgypt) which is a full member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). ASSA is registered in Alexandria Faculty of Medicine since 1969 and its operational office lies in the 5th Floor – Academic Building – Alexandria Faculty of Medicine – Khartoum sq. – Alexandria – Egypt with its Bank Account in NSGB Bank Alexandria externally audited by the accounting authorities of Alexandria Faculty of Medicine. ASSA-Alexandria is involved in the common vision of IFMSA and its scope activities in the field of public health, medical education, human right and peace, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS and clinical and research exchanges.
IFMSA-Egypt: IFMSA-Egypt is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit student-run organization that represents more than 80,000 Medical Students all over Egypt. IFMSA-Egypt is represented through more than 4500 Medical Students in 23 Local Committees in the following Medical Schools: Azhar-Assiut , Ain Shams, Alexandria, Assuit, Aswan, Azhar-Cairo , Benha, Beni Sweif, Damietta, Fayoum, Kasr ElAiny, Kafr El-Shiekh, Kena, October 6th, Masr University for Science & Technology, Mansoura, Menofia, Menia, Sohag, Port Said, Suez Canal, Tanta and Zagazig.
Our mission in IFMSA-Egypt is to offer future Egyptian Physicians a comprehensive introduction to global health issues by taking part in the international medical students’ community to broaden their spectrum and reach their full potential. Our themes cover all major Health topics and Medical-students-related interests and they are: Public Health, Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS, Human Right & Peace, Medical Education and Professional & Research Exchange. Consequently, the goal of the federation is to serve society and medical students all over Egypt through its member organizations by: Empowering medical students to use their knowledge and capacities for the benefit of society.

Providing a forum for medical students throughout Egypt to discuss topics related to individual and community health issues, education and science and to formulate policies from such discussions, as well. Promoting and facilitating professional and scientific exchanges as well as projects and extracurricular trainings for medical students, thereby sensitizing them to other cultures and societies and their health problems. Providing a link between members, medical students’ associations within Egypt and international organizations, and to encourage the cooperation between them for the ultimate benefit of society.
IFMSA-Egypt is a full National Member Organization of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) which is the only official body of Medical Students worldwide, it was founded in May 1951 and currently it is made up of 123 National Member Organizations from more than 100 Countries spanning the 6 continents. IFMSA is officially recognized as a non-governmental organization within the United Nations (UN) and it is also recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the official international forum for medical students.
The IFMSA is affiliated to the United Nations system as a non-political and nongovernmental organization, and is recognized by the World Health Organization as the official international forum for medical students since 1969. I. Standing Committee on Public Health
SCOPH, the Standing Committee on Public Health, is one of the six Standing Committees of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and IFMSA - Egypt. SCOPH is a forum for active discussion for medical students who work together to improve the public's awareness, encourage them to take on healthy life styles and get rid of wrong health beliefs, which are the major factors in most health issues that we face in our country. In Egypt, we deeply believe in the vital role that should be played by the Public Health sector and are compelled to and concerned with all issues that affect Public Health. The SCOPH team gathers medical students from many universities all over Egypt. Together we work hand in hand for the good of the public’s health and to promote public awareness
Our mission is to offer Egypt’s future physicians a comprehensive introduction to public Health issues, who will in turn improve public health awareness. We are dedicated to try to Influence the public health status in Egypt.

1) Diabetes Awareness Campaign A run for 12 km then a stand where there was a speech about diabetes: it’s meaning, how to avoid it and early detection. Then a screening for blood pressure and blood sugar level was done.The target group was the public,whom were easily addressed during the day. 5) Road Traffic Accident Awareness Campaign
A cycling event from El Montazah to Bibliotheca Alexandrina then a stand where there was a speech about RTA, it’s danger and effect on the community. The target group was the public whom were easily addressed during the day. Outcomes: Large group of audience was addressed this day.

II. Standing Committee on Human Rights & Peace
SCORP, the standing committee on human rights and peace works within
the organization of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association and was founded in 1983 as the global plight of refugees came into the limelight. Its mission was to call attention to the problems displaced people faced as well as participate in relief efforts. The committee members soon realized that these efforts were short term and palliative. Sustainable solutions would have to rest on the prevention of conflicts and human rights abuses. Based on these new resolutions, the Standing Committee on Refugees and Peace was forged in 1994. Refugees, internally displaced people and other vulnerable populations are at an extreme risk of losing health and of having their human rights abused. SCORP is concerned with the problems and needs of refugees and internally displaced people, and works for the prevention of conflicts, the main reason why people are forced to become refugees. Sustainable solutions of the problems for refugees will have to rest on the prevention of conflict and human rights abuses. SCORP condemns any use of violence as a conflict solution. SCORP works for a peaceful world. SCORP understands peace as, person to person, group to group, state to state, having international solidarity, tolerance and respect for human rights.

1). A Trip to Bibliotheca Alexandria [I Cancer Vive]
Date: Wednesday 16th December 2016 There was a visit under our total supervision and guidance with Children of Leukemia Department in Shatby Hospital to, Alexandria Library ,where members played different games with the children. Also, they watched a movie which had a great impact on the children.The children were totally thrilled by this day that was supported by both our team and the Library’s team

2)Christmas Visit [I Cancer Vive]
Date: Thursday 31st December 2016 It was an awesome way to start the New Year with spending sometimes with the young Cancer patients. Games were played with the children in an awesome atmosphere. Also gifts were distributed by our own Santa Clause.

3) Orphanage Visit [Anti STIGMA Project]
Date: Thursday 7th January 2016 A visit to [Dar El Askanadria] Orphanage as a start of a series of visits with a main aim of collecting data about the children in order to make it easy to follow them up and be able to check regularly on them. Also, we gave them gifts and played different games with them as some sort of psychological support, and we intend to repeat those visits in the near future.

4) The Mega Event
It was a day to have some fun and get to know ASSA and its standing committees more as well. As for the fun part, there was quizzes, a treasure hunt with friends and more. We were offering free blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI measurement in addition to some info regarding smoking and diabetes Also we were discussing the refugee's problems and epilepsy preparing, marketing and team building for our upcoming physical campaign.

5) Epilepsy Campaign
We organized an awareness campaign at El Mwasah Campus where we discussed the anti-stigma specifically with epilepsy. In this event we tried to give some tips about causes of the disease and management for an epileptic seizure as a first aid and in top of all we discussed all the aspects of stigma in a very entertaining way with some games and a play.

6) Orphanage Visit with pneumonia awareness campaign and hand hygiene
Venue: [Dar El Askanadria] Our second visit to that orphanage to follow up the children and check their health and current condition and try to respond to their needs and we supplied them with new cloths. This visit was a conjoint project with SCOPH with them raising awareness for pneumonia and hand hygiene and also with a main aim of updating our data about the children in order to make it easy to follow them up and be able to check regularly on them spending sometimes with the children, drawing a smile on their faces, providing psychological support And we also gave them gifts and played different games with them as some sort of psychological support.

7) Child abuse:
The project's main aim is to raise awareness among children and parents about the abuse, its forms and consequence on these children as they grow up and its reflection on their interactions, society and personality. One of the main concerns is prevention of sexual harassment to children. The project was done on two phases: 1st phase: the training on wednesday 11/5 and thrusday 12/5 from 12-4 pm in the office. 2nd phase: physical campaign (visit to orphanage in 18th of may).

III. Standing Committee on Medical Education
SCOME, the Standing Committee on Medical Education, is one of the six Standing Committees of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and IFMSA - Egypt. SCOME is a discussion forum for students interested in the different aspects of medical education in the hope of pursuing and achieving its aim. Medical Education should be a concern of every medical student as it shapes not only the quality of future doctors, but also the quality of healthcare. In Egypt, SCOME was first officially introduced during the 2002-2003 term. Since then dozens of initiatives, projects and activities were launched and carried out. Our mission is to build awareness on topics needed for changing the Medical Education for the better.

Almost 50 students have signed up to our research program,where they have been distributed on 5 different projects to work on.Sessions on research methodology has been given

Egyptian professors from different medical facilities in the USA were invited to give a talk about post graduate opportunities in the USA for medical students. Almost 150 medical students from different year have attended this event.

IV. Standing Committee on Reproductive Health & AIDS
SCORA, the Standing Committee on Reproductive health including AIDS, is one of the six Standing Committees of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and IFMSA - Egypt. SCORA is a forum for active discussion for medical students interested in promoting reproductive health. Our overall goal is the implementation of an optimal understanding of the reproductive health problems and their prevention by medical students. In Egypt, SCORA started to work effectively more than 5 years ago and organizes many events for medical students, from different universities around Egypt to guide them on how to improve reproductive health issues in our country. SCORA work reached the maximum within the last 2 years. It is now well established in 13 medical schools in Egypt. This big number of participation allowed the increase in various topics & styles of this committee’s work. Our mission is to offer Egypt’s future physicians a comprehensive introduction to reproductive health. Through education, we aim to raise awareness on a variety of reproductive health issues amongst the wide public, and strive to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and whilst challenging the widespread violation of reproductive rights and gender inequality.

1) Run Against Stigma against people with HIV
Date: 4th of December 2015 Target Audience: Wide range of age groups from 12 year old to 50 year old. Implementation: Run which included a 10 minute talk about AIDS and discrimination of people having HIV and role of every person to make a change Outcomes [Measurable]: 1000 people who attended the run An event which is part of a national project has been done with a huge impact that did influence the public.

2) Work shop for Women around the clock,FGM ,Violence against women and AIDS
Date:14th,15th of December 2015 Implementation: 2 days courses and session were given to 15 medical students about the above causes. Our target group,medical students, were really enlightened with these sessions as they have touched the importance of the messages delivered,thus resulting in a successful project.

3) Women around the clock and AIDS Awareness campaign
Date:28th of December 2015 Implementation: Booth at Muwasah college Target audience: Medical student Outcomes [Measurable]:Spreading the awareness to 400 medical students about the issue of stigma aganist people with HIV through medical and psychological facts. A successful campaign were lessons taken during the workshop were implemented for real.Students from different grades did gain new pieces of information from our booth,reflecting the success of our team.

4) Anti—sexual harassment training: 10 students from different years in the faculty attended a two days training about legal and physiological aspect of sexual harassment in ASSA's office.

5) Child abuse training: A two day training about how to teach children to prevent abuse and report to the parents about it.20 students attened this training were they were given talks about the issue and performed role plays to enforce it.
6) Child abuse prevention campaign:
Training of orphan children aged 10-16 about child abuse and ways to identify it and report it to the person in charge, where 12 children were trained using songs and games under supervision of the social workers on how to recognize abuse and games to test if they learnt or not.

V.Standing Committees on Professional & Research Exchange SCOPE, the Standing Committee on Professional Exchange, is one of the six Standing Committees of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and IFMSA - Egypt. SCOPE is the first IFMSA Standing Committee to be created. It constitutes the largest exchange program within the IFMSA and it has been running since the organization's foundation in 1951. SCORE, the Standing Committee on Research Exchange, is one of the six Standing Committees of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and IFMSA - Egypt. SCORE provides medical students from around the world the unique opportunity to participate in exceptionally rewarding and affordable clinical or pre-clinical research projects in a foreign country. Through this international exchange program, SCORE hopes to contribute to the international co-operation and understanding between the medical faculties, research institutes and – last but not least - among the students and health care professionals. Our mission is to promote international understanding and co-operation amongst medical students and all health professionals through international exchange of students and to offer medical students from around the world the opportunity to participate in a unique research and cultural experience through clinical or pre-clinical research projects.
Outgoing Exchange Division Through SCOPE/SCORE ASSA gives around 30 students every year the chance to participate in an international exchange program to gain clinical and research experience from different hospitals and research institutes around the world. Selection of the Exchange candidates passes through phases of exams and interviews to provide a fare and clear criteria of selection for all medical students in Alexandria University.
Incoming Exchange Division Through SCOPE/SCORE ASSA hosts around 30 incoming Exchange students every year arranging boarding, lodging, scientific and social program for them. ASSA incoming exchange division is constantly receiving wonderful feedbacks from exchanges worldwide for its well organized, sustainable and professional arrangement.

1- ASSA Annual Congress; ASSA Annual Congress discussing organ transplantation from religious, scientific and implementation aspects. Afterwards parallel sessions were held to go deeper into the technical aspect. More than 350 students attended the sessions and 15 professors from different departments were invited to give talks.

2- Arts and culture committee:
1) HOH concert
Date: 30th of December 2015
Outcome: 12 medical students were able to attend the concert hosted by Hany Adel,Osso,and Hany Aldakkak in Bibiotheca Alexandrina .
2) Omar Khayrat's concert:
The committee promoted for the opera event stressing the importance of cutting the stereotyping life of any medical student by a magical and inspiring sense of art, so ASSA members joined the great atmosphere of the concert in Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

1) World Diabetes Day Run
Implementation: A co-joined project done with SCORP in order to raise awareness towards diabetes and promote a healthy life style
