QUESTIONSGive Descriptions of the tools and Pic/Symbols Of Tools.

1.Rectangular Marquee Tool

By default, the Elliptical Marquee Tool is hiding behind the Rectangular Marquee Tool in the Tools panel. To access it, simply click on the Rectangular Marquee Tool, then hold your mouse button down for a second or two until a fly-out menu appears showing you the other tools that are nested behind it. Click on the Elliptical Marquee Tool in the fly-out menu to select it:

2.Elliptical Marquee Tool

Once you've chosen the Elliptical Marquee Tool, it will appear in place of the Rectangular Marquee Tool in the Tools panel. To get back to the Rectangular Marquee Tool, you'll need to click and hold on the Elliptical Marquee Tool, then select the Rectangular Marquee Tool from the fly-out menu:

3.Lasso Tool

The lasso tools allow you to select precise areas of an image by drawing or tracing the selection outline. There are three lasso tools available:

4.Polygonal Lasso Tool

By default, the Polygonal Lasso Tool is hiding behind the standard Lasso Tool in the Tools panel. To get to it, click on the Lasso Tool, then hold your mouse button down until a fly-out menu appears showing you the additional tools that are available. Select the Polygonal Lasso Tool from the list:

5.Magnetic Lasso Tool

The Magnetic Lasso Tool is one of three lasso tools in Photoshop. We've already looked at the first two - the standard Lasso Tool and the Polygonal Lasso Tool - in previous tutorials. Like the Polygonal Lasso Tool, the Magnetic Lasso Tool can be found nested behind the standard Lasso Tool in the Tools panel. To access it, click and hold your mouse button down on the Lasso Tool until a fly-out menu appears, then select the Magnetic Lasso Tool from the list:

6.Magic Wand Tool

If you're using Photoshop CS2 or earlier, you can select the Magic Wand simply by clicking on its icon in the Tools palette. In Photoshop CS3, Adobe introduced the Quick Selection Tool and nested it in with the Magic Wand, so if you're using CS3 or later (I'm using Photoshop CS5 here), you'll need to click on the Quick Selection Tool in the Tools panel and keep your mouse button held down for a second or two until a fly-out menu appears. Select the Magic Wand from the menu:

7.Crop Tool

CropTool is a tool for cropping images at Wikimedia Commons and other Wikimedia sites, supporting JPEG, PNG and (animated) GIF files. It's inspired by  user cropbot.

8.Healing Brush Tool

The Healing Brush tool allows you to fix image imperfections such as scratches, blemishes, etc. By sampling the surrounding area or using a predefined pattern you can blend the imperfections into the rest of the image.

9.Spot Healing Brush Tool

The spot healing brush is the default healing tool in Photoshop and can be used to clone areas from an image and blend the pixels from the sampled area seamlessly with the target area. The basic principle is that the texture from the sample area is blended with the color and luminosity surrounding wherever you paint.

10.Patch Tool

The patch tool works in a way that is similar to the healing brush. Using the picture here, I can show you how the patch tool can be used in Source mode to cover up the tattoo on this model’s body. When you select the patch tool you can use it just like the lasso tool to draw around the outline of the area you wish to ‘patch’, and loosely define a selection area. As was mentioned above, you can use any selection tool method you like to define the selection as you prepare an image for patching.

11.Red Eye Tool

Simply select the Red Eye Tool, then click-drag on the image to draw a box around the red eye... you may need to click-drag a couple times to get the entire eye.

12.Clone Stamp Tool

Page 12: ASSINGMENT PHOTOSHOPE

The Clone Source panel (Window > Clone Source) has options for the Clone Stamp tools or Healing Brush tools. You can set up to five different sample sources and quickly select the one you need without resampling each time you change to a different source. You can view an overlay of your sample source to make it easier to clone the source in a specific location.

13.Background Earaser

Page 13: ASSINGMENT PHOTOSHOPE

Open your image and then click on an edge selection tool such as the Magnetic Lassofound in programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Elements.

The Magic Eraser   Tool automatically clears continuously colored areas

15.Colour Replacemant Tool

In Photoshop CS3, Adobe changed things around a bit and moved the Color Replacement Tool in with the regular Brush Tool, so if you're using Photoshop CS3 or CS4 (which is what I'm using here), click and hold your mouse button down on the Brush Tool, then select the Color Replacement Tool from the fly-out menu:

16.Blur Tool

The Color Replacement Tool lets you paint roughly over an area of an image. In the easy-to-follow Photoshop tutorial above, discover how to replace colours based on Hue, Saturation, Colour and Luminosity.

17.Sharpen Tool

This tool should be used with restraint, however. Sharpen can quickly give way to overly grainy and noisy images if you’re not cautious. Use a light hand and keep the areas you sharpen small.

18.Burn Tool

Dodging and burning should be familiar photographic concepts (for those who can remember darkrooms, that is). The dodge and burn tools in Photoshop offer you a limited amount of dodge and burn control, although these tools are not really suitable for working with large areas of an image.

19.Sponge Tool

The Sponge   Tool saturates / desaturates image areas:

In the Toolbox, select the Sponge   Tool. Choose brush size and style*. Select mode (what do you want - saturate or desaturate). Set the tool's Flow (tool's strength). Drag on the image.

20.Pen Tool

Photoshop provides multiple Pen tools. The standard Pen tool draws with the greatest precision; the Freeform Pen tool draws paths as if you were drawing with pencil on paper, and the magnetic pen option lets you draw a path that snaps to the edges of defined areas in your image.
