Dubai English Speaking School and College (DESSC) is a Dubai based British curriculum school catering for students from FS1 to Year 13 (age 3 – 18) across two campuses.

DESSC, one of the few not-for-profit British curriculum schools in the region has had a long and proud history in Dubai. Dubai English Speaking School (DESS), the primary school campus, was the first British school in Dubai, founded in 1963. In 2006, Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) was opened. DESSC now boasts over 2,000 students and the academic programme is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

We enjoy an excellent reputation which we continually strive to ensure that we deserve. Academic success is important, but we believe in the development of creative thinkers, problem solvers and children who know how to learn in an environment of mutual respect, enthusiasm and commitment. The children are given a wide range of opportunities to have as many varied learning experiences as possible in order that the whole person is developed.

We provide a wide range of extracurricular provision, which includes a variety of cross curricular opportunities. Our excellent standards in teaching and learning are evidence of the commitment of all our highly dedicated staff to achieving the best standards in all areas of school life for all our children

DESSC is a member of the Association of British Schools Over-seas (BSO) and Council of British International Schools (COBIS), whom, in addition to the KHDA, have also rated DESSC as an “Outstanding’’ provider of education.

Dubai English Speaking School (DESS) is seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of Assistant Headteacher (AHT) of our Primary School.

With this unique opportunity we are looking for an experienced colleague with a minimum of middle leader experience, who can develop DESS in all aspects of Assessment.
