Shopping A La Carte – Occident A La Turc -

Malls are the contemporary tradition of large

cities around the world. They make full use

of the latest technology and offer enormous

facilities to modern shoppers. Istanbul, with

more than 77 modern malls, fi ve high streets,

and traditional street markets with 500-year-

old covered bazaars, is one of the most

enjoyable shopping mega cities in the world.

Ottoman Treasures & Spice Bazaar – Visit

the Topkapi Palace Museum (including The

Treasury section), which was the former

imperial residence of the Great Ottoman

Empire, who ruled for 600 years. Visit this

spectacular museum that houses large

collections of royal clothing, which includes

one of the world largest collections of Chinese

and Japanese porcelain and the famous

treasury of the Royal Family. The Spice Bazaar

(Egyptian Bazaar) shops selling nuts and

fruits, vegetables, fl owers, coffee as well as

local textile souvenirs and all you can imagine

in a centuries old traditional bazaar.

Joy of the Bosphorus - The tour will introduce

participants the beauties of the Bosphorus,

the picturesque waterway separating Asia

from Europe. Embarking on the ferry from

European Shore, you will leisurely sail by the

baroque 19th century palaces, the beautiful

old wooden houses, Rumeli Hisar and

Anadolu Hisar fortresses, sailing under the

Bosphorus Bridge. Your bus will take you

along the shores of the Bosphorus, after you

disembark in Sarıyer and proceed to Ortaköy,

one of the most charming sea-shore villages

of Istanbul, where you can stroll the narrow

streets. This little corner of Istanbul is very

popular among Turkish youth, artisans and

tourists all over the world with its numerous

“cafes”, small restaurants and souvenir shops.

Classical Essentials - St.Sophia Museum:

The magnifi cent Byzantine Church of all

times; then the sultan’s mosque is one of the

fi nest and largest architectural works of art

in the world. It has been a museum since

November 24, 1934, and has been nominated

to be the eighth wonder of the world by

many historians. The Rüstem Pasha Mosque

is a beautiful Ottoman mosque located in

Hasircilar Carsisi (Strawmat Weavers Market)

in Eminönü, Istanbul. It was designed by

Mimar Sinan (“Sinan the Architect”) for Grand

Vizier Rüstem Pasha and has been built

between 1561 to 1563.

An Authentic Taste of Istanbul - The Grand

Bazaar: In addition to its more than 500-year-

old historical importance, it’s a bazaar that

will tempt even the non-shoppers with its rich

collection of precious souvenirs, antiques,

handmade carpets, jewelry and leather

goods and with its spectacular interior design.

The Famous Cagaloglu Hamami (Turkish Bath)

was built by Sultan Mahmut in 1741 to provide

revenue for the Hagia Sophia Mosque. The

architect of the Hamam is unknown.

GALLIPOLI & TROY

Day 1 : Istanbul – Gallipoli – CanakkaleAfter breakfast, early departure for Gallipoli Peninsula (about 4.5 hours driving) to visit World War I battlefi elds, cemeteries and memorials; before check in to your hotel in Canakkale for dinner and overnight, visit the legendary Troy, city of Priam and Hector, an open air museum including a reconstructed wooden horse.

Day 2 : Canakkale – Assos - Pergamon Visit the ruins of Assos, established by sailors from the neighboring Greek Island of Lesbos and later drive to the ancient city of Pergamon including visits of its Acropolis and Asklepion. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 3 : Kusadasi – Ephesus - IstanbulDrive to Selcuk, and visit the Shrine of Virgin Mary, where it is believed that she spent her last days. Proceed to ancient Ephesus and see the Odeon, the Bouleterion, the fountains, the temples, the famous library, the agoras, the great theater, the roman baths, the gymnasiums and so on. After lunch, visit the Archeological Museum. Drive back to Izmir Airport for an early evening fl ight to Istanbul.

ANTALYA

Day 1 : Istanbul – AntalyaMorning fl ight to Antalya. Visit the Arhaelogical Museum where striking fi nds from the ancient sites are displayed. Drive up to Termessos in the Taurus Mountains, the only Asia Minor city Alexander the Great could not capture. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

Day 2 : Perge – Aspendos – SideFull day trip to well-known Pamphilian Cities. Perge was a Roman Province with a wide Stadium (seating 12.000), Baths and Colonnaded Street. In Aspendos, see the Roman Theatre built in the second century AD which has 15.000 seat capacity. Side is one of the best classical sites in Turkey with Apollon Temple, ancient ruins and two sandy beaches. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

Day 3 : Phaselis – Myra – St.NicholasVisit Phaselis, an ancient port city, founded in the 7th century BC by colonists from Rhodes. Proceed to Demre to visit the Basilica of St.Nicholas and fi nally the theater of Myra and rock tombs. Drive to Antalya airport for fl ight to Istanbul.

BODRUM

Day 1 : Istanbul - Bodrum Flight to Bodrum. Visit the Castle of St.Peter built by the Knights of St. John of Rhodes and the fascinating Museum of Underwater Arhaelogy. Continue with the Mausoleum of Halicarnassos and the typical Turkish town of Milas with its traditional houses. Overnight in Bodrum.

Day 2 : BodrumFull day cruise at the beautiful bays of Gokova -Bodrum coastline. Overnight and dinner in Bodrum.

Day 3 : Bodrum - IstanbulAnother cruising day at the beautiful bays of Gokaova - Bodrum coastline. Transfer to Bodrum airport for evening fl ight to Istanbul.

KAYSERI / CAPPADOCIA

Day 1 : Istanbul – Kayseri - CappadociaMorning fl ight to Kayseri, the ancient Roman Caesarea. Visit to Kultepe, an Assyrian trading colony center, followed by an orientation tour covering the Turning Mausoleum and “Hunat Hatun Kulliyesi” called after of a Selcuk princess. Drive to Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : CappadociaMorning departure for Dervent Valley where the geographical formations remind us of another planet. Then in Pasabagi, we’ll take a stroll among the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. From here we’ll drive to Avanos to have lunch. After, we will see the most beautiful examples of Byzantine art in Göreme Open Air Museum. Then, we drive to Uçhisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where we have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia

Day 3 : Cappadocia – Kayseri - IstanbulAfter breakfast, drive to the Red Valley for hiking, Old Cavusin Village, lunch, afternoon visits will cover Zelve Open Air Museum and later the old Greek Village of Sinassos. Transfer to Kayseri Airport for fl ight to Istanbul.

BLACK SEA

Day 1 : Istanbul – TrabzonMorning fl ight to Trabzon. Visit the Hagia Sophia Museum, originally a Byzantine church built in 13th century and the Gulbahar Hatun Mosque, built in the early 16th century. Finally, visit the fourth century Sumela Monastery, perched on a cliff 820 feet high. Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

Day 2 : Trabzon - Ayder – RizeDrive up to Camlihemsin Plateau viewing impressive landscapes of the Black Sea. Arrive at Ayder, one of the mountain villages in the Kackar Mountains, famous for its lush green fl ora and thermal springs. Dinner and overnight in Rize.

Day 3 : Rize – Hopa – Trabzon - IstanbulDrive to Hopa, a lovely and original town at the end of the Turkish territory on the Black Sea. Drive to Trabzon airport for fl ight to Istanbul.

BURSA / ANKARA

Day 1 : Istanbul – BursaDrive to Bursa, the fi rst imperial city of the Ottomans. Visit the Great Mosque, the Green Mausoleum and Silk Bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Bursa.

imperial residence of the Great Ottoman

one of the world largest collections of Chinese

and Japanese porcelain and the famous

treasury of the Royal Family. The Spice Bazaar

(Egyptian Bazaar) shops selling nuts and

Joy of the Bosphorus - The tour will introduce

participants the beauties of the Bosphorus,

the picturesque waterway separating Asia

from Europe. Embarking on the ferry from

European Shore, you will leisurely sail by the

baroque 19th century palaces, the beautiful

old wooden houses, Rumeli Hisar and

Anadolu Hisar fortresses, sailing under the

Bosphorus Bridge. Your bus will take you

along the shores of the Bosphorus, after you

disembark in Sarıyer and proceed to Ortaköy,

one of the most charming sea-shore villages

of Istanbul, where you can stroll the narrow

streets. This little corner of Istanbul is very

popular among Turkish youth, artisans and

tourists all over the world with its numerous

Classical Essentials - St.Sophia Museum:

The magnifi cent Byzantine Church of all

times; then the sultan’s mosque is one of the

fi nest and largest architectural works of art

in the world. It has been a museum since

November 24, 1934, and has been nominated

to be the eighth wonder of the world by

many historians. The Rüstem Pasha Mosque

is a beautiful Ottoman mosque located in

Hasircilar Carsisi (Strawmat Weavers Market)

in Eminönü, Istanbul. It was designed by

Mimar Sinan (“Sinan the Architect”) for Grand

Vizier Rüstem Pasha and has been built

between 1561 to 1563.

An Authentic Taste of Istanbul - The Grand

Bazaar: In addition to its more than 500-year-

old historical importance, it’s a bazaar that

will tempt even the non-shoppers with its rich

collection of precious souvenirs, antiques,

handmade carpets, jewelry and leather

goods and with its spectacular interior design.

The Famous Cagaloglu Hamami (Turkish Bath)

was built by Sultan Mahmut in 1741 to provide

revenue for the Hagia Sophia Mosque. The

architect of the Hamam is unknown.
