FREEDOM
Freedom is found when we let go of who we
are supposed to be and embrace who we
really are.
Freedom brings out the creative spirit in an
individual. It facilitates us to transcend our
boundaries and venture into the arena of
infinite possibility of self development.
Freedom is not just a word that is introduced
into our lives from the pages of history books
nor is it celebrated only on the 15th of August
every year. Freedom brings along with it
responsibility of chiseling our talents so that
with the passing time we are able to develop
them to their optimum level thus creating a
better self. Freedom gives us the power to be
bold, to be ourselves. We have to challenge
ourselves every day we have to venture
beyond our comfort zone only then can we
unveil our true selves. True freedom lies in our
realization of the need of self development. If
every citizen focuses towards self progress
then the progress of nation is inevitable. Lets
celebrate freedom every single day of our lives
so that we can seek amelioration of mankind
and the deliverance from the shackles of
mediocrity.
Lets celebrate Independence in its true spirit.

It always seems impossible till

Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living? Mahatma Gandhi 15th August, 1947 is the day engraved in gold in the history of India. It is the day when the long and hard struggle of many freedom fighters for our beloved motherland finally bore fruit and we gained freedom from the tyrannical British rule . Each year we celebrate Independence day as a tribute to the spirit of freedom and to the courage and sacrifices countless men and women made. Our school upheld this morale of courage, sovereignty and devotion by its jubilant celebration. We celebrated Independence day with great enthusiasm and fervor. Our chairman, Dr. N Vijaya Kumar and our director, Mr. Kiran Vijaya and Ms Keerthi Vijay honoured us with their presence. With freedom in our minds, faith in our words, pride in our hearts and memories in our souls, we hoisted the tri-colour flag and sang the national anthem. Our patriotic spirit was showcased through a mellifluous symphony of patriotic songs by our students. The students who had performed exceptionally well in various activities ranging from olympiads and MUNs to
acting and debating were presented with certificates and prizes.
Unity in diversity is one of the unique features of our nation. Our rich culture and heritage is renownedworldwide. Different regions have their original cultures and practices. This is what makes our country so special. Our energetic and nimblefoot dancers exhibited a plethora of dance forms
which left the audience spellbound. The splendid celebration ended with a marvelous formation of 300 students, who materialized the initials of Vijay Kiran Group, paying respect to the institution that made the vision of our beloved school a reality

Picnics are one of the best ways to
enjoy the simple pleasures of life. It is
a wonderful diversion which breaks
the monotony of our everyday routine.
It acts as a soothing effect and adds
charm to our life. Picnics are of great
importance for a student. It provides
them with a break from their
strenuous routine and refreshes their
minds. Recently our school organized a
picnic for the primary students. The
students were ecstatic as they could
spend an entire day outdoors,
laughing, playing and having fun with
their friends. The children spent their
time outdoors, under the blue sky and
the bright shining sun enjoying not
only with our friends but also with
their lively teachers. Everyone was
relaxed and in high spirits and the
atmosphere was jaunty. The hours
were well spent which truly
rejuvenated the students. The
students of NCFE had a wonderful time
and the picnic will surely reside in their

Teachers day in India is
celebrated every year on the 5th
of September to honour the
contributions of teachers in our
education, society and country.
The students of our school did not
fail to pay homage and respect to
all the teachers of NCFE. A
teacher influences our lives in
many ways they always extend
their support and guidance to us.
Students of NCFE organized a
colourful programme to show
their heartfelt gratitude to their
teachers.
The programme started with an
entertaining drama which
combined the contrasting
concepts of sports and literature
together to produce a hysterical
yet stunning performance. Pulkit
Raina of class 9 entertained
us with a humorous mono act which
made a terrible issue like corruption
seem comical.
The graceful and elegant dancers of
Falcon house left us spellbound with
their inspirational dance on the
injustice to women and girls. The
enjoyment continued with a few
amusing games like musical chairs
which lightened the hearts of both
teachers and students. The
unforgettable programme ended
with a fabulous fashion show by our
very own teachers who sported an
Indo- western look on their special
day and their gleeful expressions lit
up the entire school. This show had
been arranged by the 12th graders
who wished to do something
memorable for their teachers in
their last year of school.

BONJOUR INDIA SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Little steps, big achievements

A reAder lives a
thousand lives before he
dies. said Jojen. The man
who never reads lives only
one.
Like the previous years, this year too the
Scholastic book Fair was held at NCFE and
was a grand success. Reading takes us from
the world of Tintin to the world of Harry
Potter and again transports us into the
world of science fiction where we delve
deep into the concepts of science and
inventions.
Reading of books is a pleasure. It has a joy of
its own. We forget our cares and anxieties
for the time being and live in a world
created for us by the author. Reading is as
necessary for our mind as food is for our
body. It is the reading of books which
refreshes us when clouds of sorrow darken
our lives. It also gives us an insight into many
different cultures that we know little about
or were not even aware of their existence.
Reading can help broaden our minds and it
can keep us intrigued in a storyline where
the power of curiosity will make us want to
get to the end of the book as quickly as
possible. The vast array of new found
knowledge helps us to become more
involved in discussion on a variety of topics
and will give the individual a distinct
advantage over the others. The influence of
reading on our lives is manifold, it expands
our knowledge and awareness and helps to
calm and relax our minds and bodies alike.
Reading also stimulates creative
imagination. It provides exercise for the
mind and helps to improve concentration.
No entertainment is so cheap as reading or
any pleasure so lasting.(Montague)
Reading may look very prickly outside but if
we actually remove the husk, it is our
companion that assists us to go through our
lives. It will not only refresh our mind and
soul but it will give us a great outlook
towards life.

Possible Effects of Video Games or Violent Toys on Children
It is often said that " You are What you Eat" ! and that goes well with our personalities and minds as well. Our Brain is a reflection of what we
feed it. Also , it is often perceived that " everything in this world resembles a coin ", has both sides to it -the good and the bad. It all depends on
us about how we choose to make a difference and this couldn't be more easily emphasized through "Effects of Video Games" which is a
breaking topic these days.
"Children must grow up playing games and having fun" but for todays children playing has become synonymous with playing video games. They
are exposed to this virtual world at a tender age. Those are the days, the stages when young minds develop and starts evolving. They are
influential and persuaded easily better in this stage than in any other stages of life.
Video Games have a number of good effects on these young minds. It imparts children the fact that you do meet enemies in real life, not
everyone can be your well wishers and friends! If you do meet enemies in real life, it obviously means that you're on the right track in life.
Another thing that kids imbibe from Video Games is that "Nothing is Impossible, the best away to escape from your problems is to face it.
Playing video games prepare a child mentally for life in a fun way. Playing Video Games kind of makes kids fearless and brave, confident and
active and of course "Shine bright in their peer group" Bringing peer group into picture, kids are easily influenced by their friends.
Their self esteem and self-worth is something that comes from their peer group. Children being so explorative and over-ambitious has even
caused a lot of harm to them in the name of Video Games and it couldn't be explained any better than the KILLER "Blue Whale" game which was
invented by a 21 year old Russian boy in 2013. It has stolen the lives of more than 50 kids across the globe. From this incident, we could even
conclude that Video Games are "Psychological" and a Mindset Hypnotizer". Video games can be created in such a way that they motivate
young kids and teens to eat healthy, help them focus on their studies and stimulate them to pursue social causes and take up charity as a pass
time. If this can be achieved then our society would definitely be a better place. It would then be a boon to the future generation.
It can be concluded that "Your Result is what you make out of something". It is totally up to you to choose Good and ignore the evil or vice
versa. Nothing in this world is labeled as "Good" or "Bad". All we need to do is make the best out of highlights and toss the shortcomings into
trash.

Love is
Letters to no one What is love? Love is, The scent of rain and warmth of coffee, Fuzzy socks and cozy blankets Oversized sweaters and the glistening moonlight, The sound of water, caressing pebbles; Softly, gently. The smell of white roses and pretty lace, Of silk and velvet, touching skin. Being bound to my soul and being forced to exist. Love is, Breathing, The warmth of your brown eyes, The feel of your soft skin on mine, Your soft brown hair; akin to crushed silk, Your hands intertwined with mine,
The euphoria of calling of mine. Of holding you and seeing the stars and the planets in your twinkling orbs. Hope, that you, nurture within me, that gives me the strength to stay alive. Love is, Ephemeral, like the seasons Graceful, like the monarch butterflies on a spring day Ethereal, like the northern lights and the snow on Christmas eve Elegant and beautiful like the cherry blossoms. What is love? The beauty of life, Encapsulated in little bursts of happiness Woven together with colours of mirth and pain Joy, in its purest form; The reason we all exist.

The Shimmering Pool Oh! It is here my dearest where it lies, The only spot which reflects the skies. The place where almost everyone visits, But least of all bother to see its limits. This is where wonder speaks, And where little elves squeak. Now presume my dearest what am I talking about, Well yes, the shimmering pool without any doubt. The spray is pale with a tinge of green, It is here oh beloved! Where the mermaids are queens. Little bubbles emerge glowing like gold, This is the splash to heal the bold.
Here the Adaro lie deep underneath, And the sea serpents dont dig in their teeth. The naiads here are sweet and cunning, And the dances of the encantados are always stunning.
At this spot the ningyos shed tears of pearls, And the sirens admire their curls. Dont worry my dearest it is always safe, Because the strong dont bother this chafe. The brave wash their wound with the water from this pool, It is where they celebrate their very own Yule. Oh! Yes my dear this is the location we all like to hear, And I ensure you it will never disappear.

Dear Love
Dear Love, you are nothing but a four
letter word but a two faced emotion,
Just like a rose, lovely to look at but
prickly to feel,
Complex like its petals and unfair like any
other deal.
Dear love, you metamorph into people
and memories,
You are not afraid to snap in the wind and
sway in the breeze,
Oh Love, you make my heart sing when I
hear you rhyme,
but you are not so sweet when oblivion
opens to time.
Dear love, you are in everything I desire,
in tintinnabulation and petrichor of rain,
In a child's laugh and the shade of a tree,
In a tattered book or perhaps just a verse
of poetry?
Oh love, you made the pen mightier than
the sword,
for to write with love is to bless with
words,
Love, you are the crackle of paper I go to
when everyone leaves.
Dear Love, don't you worry, your
remembrance will always make me
believe.

I Miss Them All It all hurts now, the loud laughter And those silly wrong pronunciations. The Bothering silly questioning And the completely unrealistic dreams and desires. I miss them all. I feel quite grown up now, I forget that I was once just like them. The no-worry, no hurry ones, The ones who cautiously clutch the hands Of the only one they have ever loved And have been loving them unconditionally. Those mischievous attention-seeking activities,
Those empty heads with zero worries. I miss them all. Living in a world of colourful shapes and sizes, Unaware of their complex existence and sciences. Nights ending in bedtime stories, And not caring how many friends or enemies. Those bubbly smiles and chubby cheeks, Those empty heads with zero worries. I miss them ALL.

My Trip to Singapore and Thailand
There is nothing quite like travelling and seeing a new place for the first time.
There are many benefits of travelling that are often overlooked. I feel that
travelling around this wonderful world is one of the most fascinating things.
Travelling provides adventure which keeps our mind young and healthy. It not
only stimulates our imagination but also offers change that is necessary to
keep ourselves from getting bored.
Recently, we had planned a trip to Singapore and Thailand. When I came to
know about this trip, my excitement knew no bounds and I jauntily started
researching about the two new countries I would be visiting. My first
impression of Singapore was that it is a very clean, green and a well
maintained place with a controlled and disciplined traffic. Tall skyscrapers and
lush patches of green adorned the city. My days in this fabulous country were
filled with excitement and adventure. I visited places like the Jurong Bird Park
and the Singapore Zoo where my time was well spent with gorgeous birds and
animals. I visited the Sentosa Island and the Universal Studios as well, where
there were legions of exciting rides and shows. I could not wait to explore
each one of them. I had the time of my life enjoying mind boggling rides and
amazing shows. I absolutely loved the lively city.
My trip to Thailand was also very pleasant. I visited the Safari World where I
fed a real baby tiger! My favourite thing about Thailand was the mouth-
watering Thai food. The aromatic infusion of a variety of rich flavours was
absolutely delicious. I spent my days in Thailand visiting various stage
performances and shopping.
I had enjoyed tremendously my visit to these two countries. I would surely
miss such wonderful places and these have become my most cherished
memory. I look forward to many more adventurous trips like this.
