The Flights

Is probably the most important river to influence the history of the early world and is still a vital travel corridor from middle Africa to the north. Flowing into the Mediterranean sea with prevailing winds from the south, for the last 5000 years or more, boats have drifted on this great trade route towards the north and raised their sails for the return journey.

Ancient Egypt was divided into “Upper Egypt” and “Lower Egypt”, and to some extent, this is still true today. Upper Egypt is to the south being “up river”, while Lower Egypt is to the north, and this is confusing as maps always have north at the top whereas the Nile flows north, which is contrary to the way we look cartographically.

The Nile

A leisurely, magical journey of almost 546 miles on the timeless Nile. The voyage includes a mix of fascinating shore site visits and leisure, with ample time to make new friends, join me in group meditations, or simply relax on deck and enjoy the rural scenes while drifting on the river. The cruise is FULL BOARD with an extensive variety of food and plenty to eat.

Also included are evening talks on the “Hebrews and Pharaohs” which will give an insight into the impact of the Hebrews on Egyptian culture. This can still be witnessed today in their language and the way the Egyptians live. An ‘Angels Abroad Retreat’ opportunity to share and experience the ‘wonder and connection’ with like-minded souls, within the held, safe space of experienced workshop leader, author and Spiritual Life Coach, Chrissie Astell.

The Nile is timeless, with little changed from ancient days – a voyage of discovery on a floating hotel through one of the world’s greatest civilisations.

Cruising the Timeless Nile

A new route for cruise boats Nile cruises in the recent past have been restricted to the part of the river between Luxor and Aswan, but now new routes have opened up to the lower Nile (to the north). This part is equally interesting and historically rich, which few people have been able to enjoy up until now.

The Nile River is the longest river in the world. From its major source, Lake Victoria in east central Africa, the White Nile

flows generally north through Uganda and into Sudan where it meets the Blue Nile at Khartoum, which rises in the Ethiopian highlands. From the confluence of the White and Blue Nile, the river continues to flow northwards into Egypt and on to the Mediterranean Sea. From Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean Sea the length of the Nile is 5584 km (3470 miles).
