Construction ManagementWhen retained for construction management, Brothers Group Constructionrepresents the owner and is hired to manage the construction process fromplanning though project completion including schedule management, costcontrol and resolving any problems that may arise in relation to the project.In collaboration with the architect and engineer selected by the owner, thegeneral contractor assists in the bidding process of subcontractor tradesand suppliers.

General ContractingIf retaining the key responsibility by the owner or their representative ispreferred, Brothers Group Construction can be retained directly as ageneral contractor in a conventional method to manage the subcontractors,keep the schedule, and stay within the budget. Typically the owner selectsan architect, construction plans have been finalized and the next step is toreceive competitive bids as to negotiate with a general contractor. Manytimes the owner will select a firm based on price, however relationship,experience and qualifications are factored in as well.

Design/BuildDesign/Build is quickly becoming the preferred method of delivery for manyowners as the benefits includes a shortened project schedule, reduction inproject costs, and a higher quality deliverable. The contractor is responsiblefor both the design and the construction stages of the project by having allrisk and responsibility aspects transferred to them by way of contract.Design-Build is often referred to as “turn-key” as the general contractor,design team, and owner work together as one team early in the designphases of the project.

HybridBy combining the two methods, design/build and construction managementdelivery styles, a hybid method is created where all responsibility and amajority of the risk are transferred to the contractor, and also a transparentcost structure of construction management. The advantages to combiningthese methods is a notable shortened project delivery time and cost control.

RAFAEL PEPAJ, Chief Executive OfficerAs our CEO, Rafael has 15 years of experience in theconstruction industry. He founded the company with hisbrothers in 2002. In his current role, Rafael directs thecompany’s strategic planning efforts. Prior to the CEOposition, Rafael was the company’s VP until 2014 for theFlorida operations. In addition to the constructionoperations, he directs all corporate functions includingdeveloping new market areas, overseeing employeetraining, corporate communications and enhancing safetyand quality programs. As an entrepreneur Rafael has a rolein multi-business functions, overseeing all operations forbuilding divisions and affiliates.He is an Advisor of Diplomatic Mission Peace andProsperity. He is also the founder of Albanian AmericanSociety of Florida (AASF), a non-profit organization.

ARTUR PEPAJ, Vice PresidentAs our Vice President, Artur founded the company with hisbrothers in 2002. After finishing Construction Managementin Albania, he started construction in Larisa, Greece.Throughout his 25 years’ experience with commercialconstruction, he has completed thousands of projects inEurope and USA. Through his experience and leadershipArtur has been a mentor to many within the company. Hisexpertise on large-scale construction projects has allowedthe company to diversify its portfolio with projects in theCorporate, Education, Financial, Healthcare, Hospitalityand retail. Artur has great passion and commitment to theconstruction industry, as well as to the community.

ARBEN (BENNY) PEPAJ, PresidentAs our President, Benny leads the overall strategy andmanagement of the company and its resources. Hefounded the company with his brothers in 2002. With 25years’ experience in the construction industry in Europeand USA, allowed him to grow a successful constructioncompany. He has been instrumental in formalizing thecompany’s innovative Quality without Question programfocused on consistently constructing the best buildings inAmerica. This effort includes the integration of virtualdesign and construction into our core company procedures.

BRENDA TILLMANN, Business Development ManagerBrenda brings 20 years of marketing and businessdevelopment experience in the AEC industry to BrothersGroup team. She is responsible for the development andimplementation of strategic business development efforts toincrease revenue in the US through the creation of shortand long term strategies.Brenda’s experience and understanding of the architecture,engineering and construction (AEC) industry multiplied byher skill of relationship development, intelligence gatheringand the ability to translate, develop and execute into apursuit strategy makes her a valued asset to BrothersGroup and its clients.

LINDA LEWIS, Office ManagerOriginally from Connecticut, Linda attended college inColorado studying Business Management, ConstructionManagement and Business Law. As the Office Manager,she supports the company operations by utilizing her 30years of construction administration knowledge to overseeoffice systems and administrative needs of the company.Additionally, Linda is a Notary in Florida. She enjoysspending time with her family, traveling, outdoors, camping,fishing, and snowmobiling when not working.

IRFAN SIDDIQI, Senior Estimator/Project ManagerIrfan has over 25 years of experience in the constructionindustry. He has acquired firsthand knowledge ofcomprehensive estimating for large and medium sizedgeneral contractors, specialty subcontractors, owners,consultants as well as tapping into his entrepreneurialtalents by establishing his own independent estimatingconsulting firm.In addition to estimating, Irfan been the project manager fora vast array of projects including multi-million dollarcommercial, light industrial, shopping malls, retail stores,banks, schools and colleges, hospitals, senior living centersand high end residential construction projects as well asheavy civil construction projects throughout Northeast,Midwest, Southeast and West Coast.

RICK STUTES, Project ManagerA native born Texan, Rick Stutes began his career inconstruction as an installer and worked his way up to FieldSuperintendent, followed by Operations Manager. Hisknowledge of commercial and residential construction hasproven valuable on numerous projects. After having hisown company for five years, Rick has come to BrothersGroup Construction as a Project Manager for our Houstonclients. He loves listening to oldies and antique car shows.
