During the late evening of the 5 th June in North America and the early hours of the 6 th June in Europe, Venus will pass in front of the face of the Sun for the second time in 8 years. This Transit will not occur again until 2117 AD, having transited over the Sun’s face in a duet of two 8 year periods, twice in the last half millennium. The imbibing light was such that the Arts and Intelligentsia flourished in the years after the last two celestial fertilisations – in the Renaissance and the Enlightenment periods respectively. The opening of this portal between the relative and transpersonal realms is not only the last such opening prior to the emergence of a transformed state of human consciousness, it reflects the climax of a series of inner shifts that we, as a collective, have experienced since the summer of 2004, which have accelerated over the first half of 2012. The journey towards Renovatio commenced on the 15 th May and marks a 40 day inner journey during which any seeker faces themselves, alone, in the dark, humbly stripping themselves of their ego, seeking atonement and ultimately raising their consciousness to a level that is able to fully embrace the light. This process has three stages to it – a descent into the underworld; a merging with spirit and atonement; and an ascent back into the world of matter and form. This process is essentially inspired by the Cycle of Light, Venus’ orbit around the Sun. and attachments in an attempt to lightening their spirit. (Astrologically speaking, Venus reflects those desires and attachments we seek to materially fulfil our lives whereas the Sun symbolises the Light of consciousness).
As the descent into the depth of your inner world deepens and quickens, the process of shedding and lightening accelerates. The same is true for Venus in her light-cycle. I am sure you will have noticed how bright Venus has been in the evening sky, as her luminosity has been steadily increasing over the past couple of months. The lustre of her hue has intensified since the 15th May as she apparently stalled in her forward momentum, reversing her direction, as she is magnetically and irresistibly drawn towards
the light of the Sun.
During the early hours of the 6th June, here in Europe, as Venus aligns with the Sun, the midpoint of this 40 day process has been reached and it symbolises the time wherein the seeker is infused with light. In the sky, Venus will be completely surrounded by the light, engulfed by his rays and will no longer reflect his light as she is literally infused with the Light of Spirit, (see figure 2). The light bearer will literally re-commune with Source, as consciousness and love once again become one, signifying the emergence of
the Divine Feminine.

There is one further aspect of this 40 days process I would like to share with you, and to that end, I would ask you to look at the
three images below.

The images are of The Kiss, by Gustav Klimt; Buddha sitting under his tree; and Thoth, a Egyptian deity. It is not hard to see what is common to each image. A halo.
A halo is something that we see in people when they have reached a level wherein they are at one with themselves and with all things around them. A nimbus of light exists not only around them, but through them. When two lovers are at one with each other to the point that they have merged, love bathes them and surrounds them, and they have alchemically fused at all levels of being, creating life and therefore light. When we bring ourselves into a state of deep awareness, our life essence literally lightens, as we
atone and balance ourselves by forgiving anyone in our life that we hold an imbalance with.
Within the Christian faith a halo tends to be associated with enlightened men and woman – Christ, Mary, Moses, angels. In Asia, the halo is often imagined as consisting not just of light, but of flames and surrounds people of leadership. Oft-times this aureole is first seen to surround either the head or the entire body after the seeker has emerged from a dark place having undergone a period
of deep and intense inner reflectiveness, wherein the initiate has sought atonement for his or her life.
But what has inspired this image?
Ultimately Venus’ retrograde process and her decent towards the Sun is known as the Transmutation of Light. It is a time when our consciousness is replenished and re-vitalised as Love fuses with Light. Her decent into the beans of the Sun heralds a process wherein the dark of the ego is literally blasted away by the light, since dark cannot exist in the light. All aspects of your soul that keep you separate from joy and light are released. This is ultimately an act of at-one-ment. It is important to enter into a state of forgiveness, since that act induces a deep inner sense of balance as you free yourself from the ties that bind you to lower vibrational
emotions. As you lighten, you become one. As love connects with Source, light flourishes.

Incredible don’t you think?! Can you see where the idea for the halo of light comes from! This is the true meaning of the union of
Venus and the Sun – enlightenment.
Personal integration
The union of the Sun and Venus on the 5th/ 6th June is a truly an en-light-ened moment in time. It is one wherein you have an opportunity to create an idea that will burn the light of love into your soul. Whilst your birth chart can show you what is being renewed and invigorated, it is beyond the scope of this article to talk about the individual nuances that are being invoked. Having said that, the portal that is opening to beam balance and harmony into our lives will manifest regardless of the technical specifics! So I would really ask you to hold space during the Cazimi for a dimension of the Venusian archetype within you that feels lacking in joy or balance. If you are not familiar with the expression of Venus, I would ask you to look at the Venus word-bubble and take one word from it. If you visualise that word, or an image that that word invokes for you, inside the quinary symbol of the pentagram that Venus is making through space/time on the evening of the 5th June or morning of the 6th June, let the consciousness of the synergy between the Sun and Venus shed light for you.

The arena of your life being invoked
If you have your birth chart to hand you can also meditate on the area of your chart that this light process will invoke. To locate where all this activity will fall for you:
1. Find the sign of Gemini in your birth chart and look at the house that this sign occupies. If you are a client, then Gemini is coloured yellow on the chart I gave you during your session.
‚ 2. There are 12 houses, or zones, in a birth chart and they refer to the areas of life experience wherein the archetypal
potential of your life will find an outlet for expression. If you imagine your chart to be a wheel, the houses are contained within the thin black line portions which makes the birth circle look like possessing spokes. (Please note that the houses are listed in an anti-clockwise manner, so the first house cusp is at the 9 o’clock position (if you pretend that the horoscope is a clock)).
3. The picture below depicts a birth chart, with the position of the Cazimi on the outside, which will fall within the 10th house.
4. If you are very familiar with astrology and your chart, check the aspect that this synod will make with any planet that is either located at 15 degrees of any sign or 0 degrees of Fixed signs. Additionally look at the previous conjunctions between the Sun and Venus over the past 8 years and explore how this portal has helped lighten and inspire particular components of your life since the 17th May – 29th June 2004. The sensitive degree areas are listed in Figure 6.

I believe that it is important to hold space both for you and those closest in your life, as well as for our community, which has been extended to a global concept in tangible terms by the advancements in technology since 2004. There is no “out there” anymore. That notion has gone .The inner realm of your consciousness and the subsequent manifestations of your thoughts and feelings in the

outer world of form are one and the same. And whilst this has always been the case, the sheer numbers of people awakening and really experiencing the reality that our thoughts directly impact our environment, has been the message that underpins all spiritual
traditions, and is what our ancestors eluded to for the dawning of the next age of consciousness.
As we witness the emergence of a New Earth, we are living through the final preparatory stages leading to the establishment of a New Way of Being. I believe that Venus’ fusion with the Sun, during this remarkable Transit, represents a time of forgiveness. I would therefore ask you to reflect on what (or who) you need to forgive. Keep in mind that the Venusian archetype represents both justice and peace (figure 9), two concepts that are badly needed in a world skewed heavily in favour of the masculine principle. That we are seeing the last stage of the early emergence of the feminine, to address the imbalance in our world, it is important to reflect on the areas of your life where you need to create peace through forgiveness.

Viewing the eclipse of the Sun by Venus
Whether and when you can see the 2012 transit of Venus depends on your location. Most of North America sees the beginning of the transit in the afternoon and evening (find a clear western horizon!) on June 5th, whereas much of Eurasia sees the end of the transit in the morning (find a clear eastern horizon!) on June 6th.
