‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’
All My Ways
Leader: O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me.
You know when I sit and when I stand.
All: Lord, I am so habit bound, so earth bound, so work bound. My day
moves from children to school, then work at home, home to
shopping, home to music lessons, home to the dentist, and home to
church.
Leader: You always understand and know my every thought.
All: Trivial tasks control my thoughts. The housework! The meals! The
bills! The laundry! The monotony! The annoyances! The
disappointments! The hurts!
Leader: You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest.
Every moment you know where I am.
All: I think of all my ways with my family, with my friends, and my
neighbours, with those I meet casually in stores or on the bus, with
those in authority, or with people who need my love and kindness
and sometimes I fail to give it.
Leader: Lord, you know what I am going to say before I even say it.
All: You know my haughty, quick temper, Lord. You know my words that
hurt, my gossipy conversation, my foolish boasting, my sometimes
critical sharp tongue, when I should speak with love and
understanding.
Leader: Lord, you go before and you follow me, and place your hand of
blessing on my head.
All: I have felt your hand upon me at the kitchen sink, at the stove, and
the dinner table. I have felt your blessing at the telephone and my
desk.
Leader: Lord search me and know my heart. Test me and my thoughts. Point
out anything that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of
everlasting life.
All: Lord, open the eyes of my heart so that I might see you in all that I
do.
‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’
Quiet Reflection
All: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want
Leader: The King of love my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness fails me never
I nothing lack if I am His
And He is mine for ever
All: He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me
beside still waters
Leader: Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul He leads
And where the lush green pastures grow
With Heavenly food He feeds
All: He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of
righteousness for His names sake
Leader: In foolishness I often strayed
But yet in love He sought me
He gently placed me on his shoulder
And bought me home rejoicing
All: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death I will fear no evil for he is with me.
Leader: In the valley of death I will fear no evil
With You, dear Lord, beside me
Your rod and staff my comfort still
Your cross before to guide me
All: He prepares a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; He anoints my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Leader: And so through all the length of days
Your goodness fails me never
Good Shepherd, may I sing your praise
Within your house for ever
All: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for
ever.

‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’
Somebody prayed for me
When my heart was so broken That I could not pray,
When love wasn't easy to see. Someone was there, somebody cared,
Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody prayed for me
Somebody went to the throne of heaven, Somebody lifted my name.
Bringing me into His holy presence, Saying what I could not say.

Somebody prayed for me
Somebody showed me the face of His mercy, When darkness was all I could see.
Somebody pleaded the Blood of Jesus, Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody prayed for me
When the future looked hopeless And I'd given up,
When I had lost sight of my dreams Somebody near, dried every tear,
Somebody prayed for me.
