    PRELUDEAdvanced Training Ins tute, Hyderabad, well known as ATI, Hyderabad has been set up by theDirectorate General of Employment and Training (DGE&T), Ministry of Labour and Employment,Government of India in collabora on with UNDP / ILO and is situated in Vidyanagar, Hyderabad.

    ATI, Hyderabad is one amongst the foremost of Ins tutes of na onal interest in skill developmentini a ves. It is a ached with CTI for Instructors of ITI, MTI for ITI aspirants and AVTS for Industriesspons o red and private par cipants.

    A Center of Execellence in automobiles for pursuing advanced skill in Automobile sector has alsobeen setup with assistance of World Bank under VTIP scheme. While CTI is of one year dura on,MTI courses range from one year to two years dura on. Courses under AVTS & COE are of short termdura ons, offering regular & customized course to nourish the skill of manpower at industrial andrelated staff of Government/Private ITIs.

    Being an Hi-tech ins tute and Center of Excellence, ATI, Hyderabad is commi ed in catering to thetraining needs of industries. BHEL, HAL, DRDO, DGQA, SBC, Naval Dockyard, Singareni Collieries,Infotech etc are some of the industries who have partnered in the success story of this Ins tute.Fully equipped labs, workshops, well trained faculty and the suppor ng office staff are the assets of

    this Ins tute.

    The Ins tute has facili es for upda ng and upgrading skill levels in the feild of CNC, CAD/CAM,Hydraulics & Pneuma cs, Metrology, Automobile, Machine Shop, Welding, Refrigera on & AirCondi oning, Electrical, Electronics and Computer Technology. Ins tute imparts training forstudents to make them competent, mo vated and encourages the overall growth of an individual byinculca ng human values and concern for society through short term courses on so skills and HRDfor workers. Ins tute also imparts training in the use of mordren audio visual aids for improvedteaching, training to the instructors of ITIs/ITCs.

    Keeping view of hospitality and comfortable stay of outsta on par cipants, the Ins tute has a wellfurnished hostel with 232 rooms and a dispensary with chief medical officer for medical aid.

    OBJECTIVES To ensure steady flow of trained skilled workers for the industry in

    To raise the quality and quantity of industrial production bysystematic training of potential workers.

    To enhance employability of educated youth through training for skilled and supervisory jobs.

    To conduct need based training programme for industries,departments and organizations in the form of Tailor madeprogrammes.

    To develop skill and training methodology of the trainers from statedirectorates.

    To upgrade and update the skills of technical personnel of Industries, Government departments and organizations for diversification in production and for keeping them abreast with thetechnological advancement.

    Programme structureFour modules each of 3 months durations. This different modules are as:

    1) CRAFT INSTRUCTORS TRAINING SCHEME (CITS)Objective:- To impart training to the candidates for those to wants to

    become Instructor in ITI/ITCs.Trades offered are :-

    i) Electrician.ii) Wireman.

    iii) Fitter.iv) Turner.

    v) Machinist.vi) Electronic Mechanic.

    vii) Motor Mechanic Vehicle.

    How to Apply:

    Applications for admission into above trades are invited through theadvertisement in Employment News/regional newspapers during themonth of June/Sep./Dec./March every year.

    Eligibility for Admissiona) Passed matriculation or equivalent examination.b) National trade certificate or Diploma in Engineering recognized by

    Government.

    c) National Apprentice certificate in respective trade with one year experience either in a reputed industry or in a training organization.

    d) Serving as instructor of Govt./private ITIs/ITCs possessing theabove qualification.

    Preference is given to the candidates deputed by Govt. ITI /ITCsponsored by State Govt.. However, private candidates with aboverequisite are also consider for admission subject to the availability of seats, on order or merit.Age limit :- Between 18 to 40 years.Admission & Award of Certificate Candidates can enroll into above programme in different spells or incontinuation of each module as per their convenience.Candidate has to secure 60 % marks in Theory and practical (in home

    examinations) and also an 80 % attendance. On possessing aboverequisite, candidates will be allowed to appear for final examinationsconducted by NCVT, New Delhi in Oct/Jan/Apr/Jul every year. And onpassing the prescribed exam in each module, trainees will be awardedwith Instructor training Certificate from NCVT.

    2) CRAFTSMEN TRAINING SCHEME (CTS)Objective:-To impart training for becoming skilled craftsmen.A model training institute (MTI) has been set up under this scheme andthe following courses are being offered.

    Trades of 2 years duration :i) Electrician ii) Electronic Mechaniciii) Fitter iv) Mechanic Motor Vehicle

    v) Information Technology & Electronic System MaintenanceTrades of 1 year duration :

    vi) Welder vii) Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

    Award of certificateOn completion of training program candidates are required to appear inthe All India Trade Tests for Craftsmen held under the aegis of NCVT inJuly every year and on successful, trainees will be awarded withNational Trade Certificate.
