Visual Process Flows

Visual Process Flows Notes:

• An interactive workflow diagram that shows the steps required to complete a task or process.

• Comes with standard process flows that are ready to use, and you can create your own custom process flows.

• Can help you increase productivity, reduce training costs, and standardize processes.

Visual Process Flows Notes:

• Light green buttons launch Sage 300 ERP user interface.

• Dark green buttons launch sub menus.

• White buttons launch functions from a different entity (i.e. If you are in order entry, you could launch a function from inventory control).

Using the GL Visual Process Flow:

• Open Visual Process Flows / GL Transactions

• Click light green batches button to launch batch list

• Click new button to create new batch

• Enter journal entry information and post batch as per typical process

Using the GL Visual Process Flow:

• Click dark green button to launch transaction reports & inquiries sub

menus

• Click trial balance button to launch report

• Click chart of accounts button to launch functionality

Using the AR Visual Process Flow:

• Open Visual Process Flows / AR Transactions

• Click light green invoice customers button to launch invoice entry window

• Enter batch number, add invoice details, and click add

Using the AR Visual Process Flow:

• Click dark green batch list button to launch report

• Click dark green aged trial balance button to launch report

• Click dark green customer button to launch customer inquiry interface

• Click white customer records button to launch customers interface

Visual Process Flows

Customize the Existing AP Visual Process Flow:

• Open Visual Process Flows / AP Transactions

• Right click AP Transactions and select edit

• Click an object (Enter Vendor Invoices), click copy from menu, click paste

from menu, and relocate the button on the screen

• Click a text box (Vendor Activities), click copy from menu, click paste from

menu, relocate the text box on the screen, and rename label text box

• Click the text box, click link, select function (program & screen)

• Click Save As, name file, click close

Visual Process Flows

Visual Process Flows Security:

• Open Administrative Services / Assign Visual Process Flows

• Select user ID

• Scroll down to custom process flows and select new process flow

• Click Save & close
