In 1817, Francisco Cros installed his

first chemical plant in Badalona

(Spain). In 1904 Amadeo Cros founded

the Company S.A. Cros, which

became a pioneer in the chemical

industry.

Intecsa was one of Spain’s biggest

engineering companies. It belonged to

Dragados, the Spain’s leading

construction company.

In addition to INCRO’s manpower,

FERTIBERIA & INTECSA-UHDE large

experience allows INCRO to count with

additional specialized engineers and

operators in fertilizer plants design & start-

up for the development of any project,

regardless of its size & scope.

Two pilot plants are installed in

FERTIBERIA to test new products /

processes.

More than 70 references have been

successfully completed on the fertilizer

field.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Atmospheric Evaporation Technology

INCRO has developed an Atmospheric Evaporation Technology specially

recommended to treat any kind of liquid effluent. The process has been

patented and homologated in several countries.

The process is based on the capacity of non-saturated air of absorbing

water if a suitable interchange surface is provided. INCRO has developed

an Evaporation packing (AEP) to provide the required air - liquid effluent

interface. It has the following main features:

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

• Fully automatic units, without any personnel

ENVIRONMENT

• Elimination of liquid effluents

CAPACITY

• Modular design allows easy adaptation for any capacity

INCRO’s Atmospheric Evaporation Technology

• Concentrate is reused in granulation section

• Clean gas effluent. It could be even eliminated in ECO

• ECO system allows pure water recovery

1998 FERTIBERIA – Spain

10,000 m3/y water evaporated

The Evaporation plant was designed to

treat the liquid effluent from two identical

NPK plants, which were not able to recover

into the granulation section all the water

employed in the scrubbing system.

The 2 m3/h liquid effluent from the

scrubbing system was concentrated to 0.5-

1 m3/h, using an E-system (based on

natural evaporation)

Due to the distance to the granulation

plant the concentrate was sent to a pond,

being recovered at different rate

depending on the manufactured NPK.

INCRO’s Atmospheric Evaporation Technology References

1998 UEE – Spain

4,500 m3/y water evaporated

The Evaporation plant was designed to

treat the liquid effluent from an explosive

plant. The concentration of AN is 5%.

The 0.60 m3/h liquid effluent from the plant

is concentrated to 0.06 m3/h, using an EM-

system (based on mechanized

evaporation).

The concentrate produce is sold as a

fertilizer.

22,000 m3/y water evaporated

The Evaporation plant was

designed to treat the liquid effluent

from a steam granulation plant.

The 5 m3/h liquid effluent from the

scrubbing system is concentrated

to 2.5 m3/h, using an EMC-system

(based on heated mechanized

evaporation).

The evaporation plant is located

within the NPK production

building.
