Our customers include some of the largest operators and contractors in the international oil & gas industry, both in the UKCS and overseas markets, as well as other sectors. Our structure encompasses individual teams that support specific areas of expertise: subsea contractors, drilling, topsides and projects.

We deliver inspection and recertification work on a wide range of equipment, and possess a comprehensive testing infrastructure that equips us to perform inspection and loadtesting of equipment – either on client sites, on assets or within our own facility. All our inspection teams are qualified in rope access, so disruption to customer operations is kept to a minimum.

We have in house capabilities to manufacture wire rope slings from 3mm diameter to 90mm diameter, both talurit and Flemish eye splice terminations and in accordance with the relevant BSEN standards and DNV 2.7-1. In addition to this we possess a wide range of wire rope spooling machines from 50 te to 250 te capacity for use in operations on our base, on client vessels or on installations.

We provide equipment from across all lifting activities and from many of the world’s leading manufacturers.

We carry equipment that can support projects of virtually any size or scale, and our teams of experts are ready to provide professional consultancy support, to ensure you’re getting exactly the right equipment for your project requirements and deploying a safe, cost-effective solution.

ATR provides a fully managed rigging loft service specific to our client requirements.

Efficient and effective Rigging Loft Management from the issue of the initial request all the way through to delivery. Once delivered we monitor and pro-actively provide reports via our Equipment Management System to determine the next scheduled mobilisation date within your set cycle, whether this be on a 6 month, 7 month or an annual basis. We provide the management support to your daily operations.

All Rigging Lofts are certified to DNV 2.7-1 / BSEN12079

Comprehensive certification register is provided as standard with each rigging loft. This register is split into product groups for easy retrieval of the required certificates

Instructions for safe use and handling instructions are provided as standard within the certification register

“T” card system and inventory use register is provided to suit specific client requests

EX certified Lights & Power: As a minimum each loft contains 240 v lights and heater with isolators suitable for zone 2 utilisation

All equipment and rigging lofts are provided colour coded as per company procedure

Hanging frame, shelves and bench: Bench fitted with vice, rack and pegs for equipment suspension and shelves for accessories storage are fitted as a minimum

Letter box style hatch for returning equipment: A door fitted with letter box hatch suitable for equipment return is provided

Steel box for quarantined equipment: A box suitable for quarantine purposes is provided

Paint container & paint of the correct colour: Suitable paint for colour code purposes is provided on client request

INSPECTION SERVICES

ROPE ACCESS

We possess a specialist capability to carry out on-site inspection and recertification work on a diverse range of lifting equipment to industry standards.

Our in-house resources, infrastructure and substantial expertise in this key area means we deliver extra assurance when it comes to operational integrity.

All inspections are carried out in accordance with LOLER 1998, and all inspectors are qualified to ANST level ll MPI & DPI & fully trained to LEEA standards.

ATR works continuously with our clients to plan and schedule site inspection visits offering the complete management package for this element. However, we recognise that on occasion urgent visits are required and we offer a 24 hour ad-hoc on call service to facilitate these circumstances.

We provide qualified personnel to conduct NDT inspections when required, where we will adopt suitable techniques to include Eddy Current, MPI, DPI and UT inspections.

These inspections will be conducted on equipment as required. All scopes of work will be supported by ATR at short notice by utilising our team of dedicated inspection engineers, either on-board your assets or onshore if required at your nominated sites.

This will be conducted in conjunction with the wire rope management element whereby the inspection engineers will have the competency to include but not be limited to conduct thorough examinations, testing, spooling and the re-termination of wire rope when required.

With our expansive skills, knowledge and experience, ATR Lifting Solutions can support all aspects of the working at height activities within the offshore oil & gas industry and onshore projects. Our IRATA membership ensures that we provide a professional and safe system of work. We aim to meet & maintain the highest of standards in terms of safety and service quality.

Engineers within our in-house inspection department are fully trained as IRATA technicians with qualified inspection trades such as Electrical Supervisors, Rigging Supervisors and Inspection Engineers. All personnel undergo a comprehensive company induction and pre mobilisation job brief.

ATR Lifting Solutions is one of the principal UK stockists of both general purpose & high performance wire ropes ranging from 3mm to 90mm diameter to let us fulfil our customer’s varied and often time sensitive requirements and so as to assist them to safely and cost effectively perform all manner of lifting, mooring & towing operations in an offshore or marine environment.

General purpose ropes are typically made up as lifting slings, assemblies or as winch wires and the company not only possesses competent, experienced personnel but an extensive range of specialist equipment to facilitate their preparation. High performance ropes are delivered for more specialist long-term applications often being incorporated in sophisticated, operational or mission critical

mechanical handling systems and ATR strives to be a focal point for our customers in terms of giving technical support or guidance concerning their selection, installation, maintenance and use. They too can be accurately cut to the length and fitted with a large range of end fittings using innovative processes.

Ropes of the same diameter but having different lay directions or tensile strengths are kept on stock in order to ensure even the most demanding of uses can be catered for. Sourcing from reputable manufacturing operations, ATR typically has the ability to locate a rope product that may not be immediately available from our extensive stock on a prompt basis so as to assist in meeting our customer’s requirement.We can perform load-testing on virtually

any piece of equipment using a testing infrastructure that encompasses various sizes of horizontal and vertical test rigs, a container test rig and an overhead crane.

We are also equipped to conduct destruct testing on umbilical and wire rope samples as required.

We ensure that our priority is to provide our clients with a unique and prompt service. We are primed to deliver a rapid turnaround, which given the nature of our industry, we need to ensure that we can accommodate without exception.

This is supported by our highly experienced personnel, strong established lines of communication and in-house planning which is constantly monitored.

ATR possess a range of wire rope spooling machines ranging from 50te to 250te capacity. These assets are utilised to support the wire rope management element of our business at our Bridge of Don site as well as having the flexibility to despatch these to client vessels or installations for any required site scopes, minimising operational disruption.

Our experienced operators provide a safe, accurate and professionally executed spooling service. The experience we have within this area will ensure that the spooling management service we provide will prolong the associated product life span and reduce the risk of damage during operation.

ATR Lifting Solutions are active - and long established – participants in several high level industry groups and involved in advising on guidelines and best practice for Lifting within industry bodies such as Step Change in Safety, OPITO, ECITB and the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). ATR Lifting Solutions also has representation on the LEEA Technical Committee.

Our dedicated training centre includes three classrooms with a workshop for practical demonstrations. The training centre is utilised to conduct training sessions with clients but also to develop the competency of our own staff within set disciplines, contributing to the completion of their own training programme.

Training is also provided in a large workshop specifically for mechanical training, consisting of, but not limited to: lifting equipment, wire rope finishing techniques, winch operator training, equipment maintenance and refurbishment.
