    Welcome to the Auburn

    Family and Welcome

    Week 2011. I am delighted

    that you and your amily

    chose Auburn University to

    continue your education.I look orward to meeting

    you during your rst year

    as an Auburn student.

    Welcome Week is a

    special time o year. It is

    when we welcome new

    students to the Auburn Family. You are joining a community o

    almost 25,000 students and more than 250,000 living alumni.

    I encourage you to take ull advantage o the Welcome Week

    schedule. Go to as many events as possible, make new

    riends, and explore your new home.

    I especially want to highlight one Welcome Week event that

    all rst-year students must attend. Dont miss University

    Convocation on Tuesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the new

    Auburn Arena. Convocation is the ocial welcome ceremony

    or all new students. You will hear rom President Jay Gogue,

    Interim Provost Tim Boosinger, and SGA President KirbyTurnage. Come meet your reshman student athletes, Aubie,

    Coaches Tony Barbee and Nell Fortner, and many more.

    You do not want to miss your rst chance to be in the new

    Auburn Arena.

    Is there a ee to use Tiger Transit?

    For Students: Your tuition payments include ees associated with Tiger Transit. Auburn

    University students with a valid Auburn ID card have unlimited access to Tiger Transit

    routes.

    Ride the Tiger: Pick a Color

    Tiger Transit oers 19 lines or the all and spring semesters. Twelve lines begin and end

    at Haley Center, one line begins and ends at Terrell Dining Hall, one line begins and ends

    at the Jule Collins Smith Art Museum, one line begins and ends at the Stadium Deck,

    and our lines begin and end at the Mell Street Station. Summer transit schedules oer

    reduced service and are subject to change based on passenger demand.

    How do I know which bus line to take?

    Each color-coordinated line provides coverage to parts o the Auburn campus and to

    outlying Auburn areas. The approximate travel times between points are listed on the

    schedule. To determine your travel time, add the times rom each stop listed between

    your origin to your destination. Most internal lines have multiple buses running

    approximately 10-15 minutes apart. Most external lines have multiple buses running

    approximately 18-45 minutes apart.

    Toomers Ten

    Destination: Various Locations On and O Campus

    In partnership with the Student Government Association, the Toomers Ten departs

    rom Magnolia Avenue beginning at 10 p.m. and concluding at 2:30 a.m.

    Wednesday - Saturday. Approximate bus-stop times are based on 30 minute intervals.
