Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Over the past 10 years Linda Dixon has added andexpanded programs moved to a new facility andadded new space while adding her own touch to thebusiness.

In December 2000 a couple Linda knew opened agym on Atwood Road in Auburn. She becameinterested in working out and lost 45 pounds and 45inches and then started working as a spinninginstructor and became certified. In 2002 one of theowners died and the Gym came up for sale. Whenthe gym became available Linda sold her home and

property (in Colfax) and was able to buy it.In 2002 the gym was officially hers and it reopened

in April of 2002 as Total Fitness. We want toprovide the best facilities possible while makingmembers feel comfortable. We have a wide variety ofpeople here, Dixon says, from seniors to teens. Iget a great pleasure when people come here and aftera few weeks tell me they have lost 10 or 20 poundsand have never felt better.

New members get a full tour, facility orientationand immediate attention with a personal assessmentto their needs with a training outline program,Dixon said. One of Total Fitness main goals is toconnect with its members when they need help. Wefind new member that come to us from the 24 hourscenters because they find no one is available to helpthem out with their fitness goals.

Linda moved Total Fitness to it new location onPalm Avenue in January of 2002, to expand, andimprove the location and they now have the largestweight room in the foothills. Centrally located at 210Palm Ave at Hwy 49 in Auburn, Total Fitness isconvenient to home and work for more people. Theyoffer a wide variety of membership from full accessto options like popular low priced weekend only andmidday only memberships.

Linda, her staff and family want to invite all theirfriends, members and all of the Auburn communityto join us for our 10 Year Anniversary Open House,Sunday, April 1, 2012.
