QUESTIONNAIRE
It looks like a standard question to ask and maybe a little off topic but research has shown that men listen to more acoustic artists in 2009. due to this I wanted to get a few
opinions from different people.
Roarz Dickenson - Male, 18. Ive been listening to acoustic music for 3 years now and I have been heavily influenced by the music such as Dallas Green Mumford and Son’s.
K Radford – Female, 18. id ont really like acoustic music I don’t think its fast enough to be good music, I feel that
music should be current and up-beat.
HOW OLD ARE YOU, PLUS GENDER
Grant Turner – Male, 18. Because their isn't really any story behind the actually video I think that this question doesn’t
really apply with this current music video.
Sharfaa Shiraz – Female, 18. I believe that although there isn't a story the in the video the message is still clear. The
up and coming artist is showing his journey though the recording process of the making of his single ‘Hey Ya’.
WHAT DO YOU THINK THE MESSAGE IS IN THE VIDEO?
When asking a few people what genre my video is including the digipak they said modern indie and acoustic artist. This
is good as they were spot on with their views.
Pav Dillon – Male, 18. the music video really shows the true meaning of acoustic video’s, the basic down to earth styling
of the video reflects the artists music.
Ryan Swanell – Male, 17. i like the video but i think it could do with having some more story as i found it quite boring.
WHAT GENRE WOULD YOU SAY THE VIDEO IS?
When asking this question most people didn't know how to respond, i then rephrased it to can you relate to the song and then they pointed it out that it was a cover done in a
completely different style. This caused some confusion but eventually we came to the conclusion that the meaning of
the song still applied in a more subtle approach rather than a fast pace hard hitting song it was slowed down to create a
acoustic track that they could listen to and take in the lyrics. Most of the participants of this question came to
terms with the idea i had just given to them.
CAN YOU RELATE TO THE ARTIST?
Mark Pawluk – Male, 15. Not really i liked music like Mumford and Sons before had anyway.
Jake Hudson – Male, 23. I really enjoyed listening to this style of music, it helped that it was a cover of a pop song so i could relate
with it instantly.
Jennifer Marlowe – Female, 19. – i have been listening to pop music most of my life and my parents brought me up on country so it was
nostalgic.
Hannah Simpson – Female, 16 – been listening to acoustic artists since i was only 9 and i love this version of the song and how the
video represents the acoustic nature.
