I printed off my magazine and stuck it to two pieces of A2, I did this to show the audience. This is because I asked a few people who are my target audience to fill out a questionnaire. This will give them something to look at and reference when answering the questions I have given them.

I have done an audience feedback questionnaire to see whether I have attracted the target audience and to see if my magazine appealed to them. On the slides next I have produced a copy of the questionnaires that were answered by the target audience.

1. From the first question I know that my audience can distinguish what genre my music magazine is. This is because all of them guessed either indie or rock. Therefore I know I have marketed my magazine correctly.

2. The answers I received from the target audience, show that my magazine is conventional. This means it has many different things such as, feature stories, pull quotes, plugs etc. These are all things that should be featured in a magazine. With my product being conventional it ensures my product is professional.

3. Overall the most similar magazine to C86 is NME, this is a positive thing because I was heavily influenced and inspired by NME. Also NME are targeting the same audience, therefore with my product looking like theirs I know I have targeted the product well.

4. I received a mixed response from this question with one of the target audience stating my magazine does not have anything that makes it stand out against other existing indie magazines. However the other four people who filled in the questionnaire, stated there are many things that make my magazine stand out. For example the layout, interviews included, reviews and the C86 award ceremony. This shows that I have thought of many different ways of how to make my magazine stand out.

5. The feedback I received from this question was what I was expecting, as all of the target audience said I was targeting teenagers. However one said early twenties too, this shows that my magazine conveys who the target audience are. But I am targeting students, so this is not just teenagers. Therefore it may suggest my magazine looks too childish.

6. The audience thought that my magazine represents the target audience because of the artist I have included on the front cover. This shows that when I picked my artist and thought about how Brooke is of a similar age to my target audience and how she would appeal to them was correct.

7. I received a mixed response from this question with two people out of the five saying that the magazine does not appeal to them. However it was not because of anything I did not do correctly, it was just because they do not like the indie genre. The three that said yes said it was because of either the feature stories or the competition. This reinforces my target research was correct and has worked. This is because the conventions I included appealed to the target audience.

8. Many answered that they would buy the magazine, as it is reasonably priced and others stated they would subscribe. This is because if they subscribe it will be cheaper. The price and subscription offer has helped to appeal to the audience.

9. I now know what is good about my magazine and what is not. This will help me when I make my next issues as I will know how to appeal to the audience more. I will do this by improving the front cover and making it more simple. Also I will make the next main feature story not a Q&A.

10. The audience stated I needed to improve the amount of competitions included in the magazine and to change the layout of the front cover. This will help me appeal to my target audience more.
