Cengage Publishing and the bookstore hosted
and information table at the Downtown
Campus to notify students of a new “Unlimited”
program that will allow students to be able to
buy digital subscriptions in Cengage’s library.
Academic Career and Transfer Programs
Learing Resource Center (LRC) orientations are purposed
to familiarize students with the various services that we
provide. These included our library catalog, Ask-a-librarian
feature, electronic books, various databases, online journals,
learning tools, and remote access feature. Instructors
schedule bibliographic instruction (BI) sessions, by
appointment only, for their students so they can become
familiar with all of the resources related to their classes.

Happening Now…Smart Technology in Classrooms
As we move to Virtual Desktop Clients and Smart Projectors in classrooms at all campus locations,
staff from the Division of Information Technology gave an overview session of both technologies to
our faculty during the Fall 2018 Faculty Convocation.
Ted Scott Campus Technology
The Division of Information Technology is in the process of replacing physical desktops with a virtual
Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) in room D206. This project is part of the ITTP initiative of virtualizing all
student computers district-wide with updated devices that allow:
l Flexible configurations. l Centralized management.l On demand software delivery.
