August 2012 Updates:

Alma is constantly rolling forward!

Alma has officially started her toilet training and she has been HIGHLY motivated! Such a nice change from the hell that was toilet

training her sister... Alma insists on watching the video a lot (sometimes while sitting on

the potty for inspiration...). She loves wearing underwear and it’s been going really well.

Alma insists on washing her hands by herself and she does a very good job (and doesn’t forget a step of the process!)

Alma’s hair has been growing and she now has a lot more hair clips (left)

She is fiercely independent and has to do everything herself – or else...

At last we were offered a place once a week for 4 hours at a family day care 25 minutes walking distance from home.

Alma really liked the place on our first visit (although she was nervous). The lady who runs the place (it’s her own home) is highly experienced, has a large choice of educational toys and equipment, a small yard with gear for physical activity and even two chickens! The group has 4 more boys which

Alma will probably boss around very soon...

Unlike Hahgoot, Alma doesn’t fear the vacuum cleaner, but rather insists

on using it...

Alma chooses her clothes by herself in the morning and does her best to get dressed on her own. She has become really

good at unbuttoning and is trying hard to button as well!

In the evening she loves listening to a bedtime story from dad.She now listens and reacts to much longer stories and enjoys singing with dad

(by finishing the rhyming ends of the sentences)
